Game is very quiet - Rust - Facepunch Forum

[B]! First of all i would like to say i am not key begging i already have a key and play every day ![/B] So over the last few weeks the number of players playing has dropped very low for example normally at about 7am GMT +1 there would be about 20-30 people on well today there was 12 so i was just wondering if either you will be selling the game soon for giving a few more keys out because the game is getting very boring with no one ells to play with. Other's may no feel the same but i play with about 6-8 people that all agree and that means your numbers are going to drop even lower if we stop playing because of nothing to do.

Since the hype for this game has settled down some or most people lost interest because of newer games coming out like 7daystodie, the forest (still not out), Neural Break ( i got pre pre alpha access ), warz's updated map which we all know warz sucks anyways but those are some games that I know of that got a spike of interest

Yeah ajearly they really need to do something about the amount of players, its getting boring with less players, the game is good but ideally more people need to be able to play!

I have a key as well, and yeah it is boring with a decent sized map with like 12 people. :p

Either people are complaining 24/7 that they're getting KoSd by the large amount of players, or that there are too little players. Personally I think it's just fine as it is. When I log in, there's like 20-40 people online.

Got tired of waiting for a rust key which is nearly impossible to get and possible need to wait 1 year for release at this rate, so bought 7days to die key which just got greenlisted. I got the key in 2 days and am now happily playing 7days to die instead and I think its a much better game than rust. That's why people test and suggest. It's a process of evolution in game development. It would be best if you don't log in to Rust, for say, 2 months if you're going to have that attitude.

The game is planned to go out on sale in a few weeks — early September, [I]possibly[/I]. No fixed date yet. We're not gonna sell while there are some issues that still need to be taken care of.

7days to die is also alpha which just got backed with over $500,000 pledged. Why wait for a rust key?

Just let the people who play 7 days to die get their accounts deleted for not playing. They'll be missing out on all the fun when rust gets updated.

You can't satisfy everyone is what I'm saying.[/QUOTE] Ah i see where your going, yes i guess thats true, KOS has never really been a problem in my mind, especially when people say "oh i hope you feel good killing someone with only a hatchet" un-fortunately i dont have x-ray vision and cant tell what is in your inventory so the only way to find out is how you might guess, however im generally pretty friendly and give people teh benefit of the doubt when passing them, providing they dont cause any trouble.

hi, i think this close alpha of rust is the major prob. all games with an open alpha like dayz mod had a huge and fast grown community. but in rust most of them will get angry cause they dont get a key or any information of the current status of the game. i know, i can read on [url]www.playrust.com[/url] some patchnews but wtf? never played it :suicide: To Rust Game: First of all i looked some series of gameplay of rust on "PsiSyndicate" or "FrankieonPC". i like the idea of the combination of minecraft stalker dayz but if u are honest this small world looks like crap. The Rust alpha was made so that this community could give feedback and suggestions, so what do people do when they hear about it outside of here? They go rabid, and the community's treat is ruined as the alpha is barred to almost anyone, even the actual community. And the funny thing is, I bet half of the people who came just for the keys have already forgotton about testing and instead focus on doing nothing but wasting a valuable slot. So, from what I've seen, I think that the devs are entitled to do whatever the hell they want. They don't need to listen to another 101 responses about Rust being '2 small'.

I don't know if this has happened with anyone else but nobody seems to be KoSing anymore, everyone's becoming friendly.
