I was raiding a base today and noticed that it had a couple research kits (awesome!); however... one of the research kits was stacked into two as in there was two research kits in one slot. How is this possible?
Research kits can have up to 3 uses, I think they put it down to 1 in last update but if you have any left from before they will still hold the extra uses. (I have one with 3 still)

But the server was wiped on 1/31?
Maybe they didn't remove the "up to 3 uses" then, maybe they are just rare.
