So in a recent secret update, they added [B]Bears[/B] and [B]Wolves![/B] I want to know your thoughts of them! And any bugs you have found.
[B]My thoughts:[/B] I think they are a great addition to the game, new way of getting blood is great, they are nearly impossible to kill with pickaxe/hatchet, so getting alot of food to feed your village and cloth for 10+ beds should be much better for people who have a fairly big base and alot of guns. They add an aspect of annoyance, I was in a gunfight, and 2 bears and 2 wolves following me, wasn't fun. (don't get me wrong, I like that they annoy you in gunfights ;))
[B]Bugs i came across:[/B] I just came on and heard from my friends they added bears and wolves, I went on the edge of my roof, and started getting hit, no gunshots, hunger was full, I didnt know what was happening, so I jumped down, saw a bear and unloaded my M4 into it. They can hit you, eaven if you are 5 stories high, They added range on foot, but think they forgot the height range :p
I think this is the first post about them, I have looked and haven't seen any other, if I am mistaken, I am sorry and have a nice day! :)

So I'm running at night looking for resources, and I couldn't find shit. After a few minutes, I hear some barking. I turn around and see a huge fucking wolf running at me. I literally jumped and said "What the fuck!" out loud before killing it with my hatchet.
That's how I ended up here.
The loot on wolves is pretty awesome. Lots of cloth and enough meat to survive for a long time.
I like these secret additions. Planes, wolves and bears. What's next?
I always wondered why they chose not to add things like this in the patch notes. I like to see new stuff on the website every day, weather its new graphical fixes, or flying airdrops and wolves.

i just tried my stream for the first time on RUST...
was walking around and BLAM i see a bear following me....
at first i thought it was a pig... but then it hit me.
Those damn wolves scared me shitless, was playing without sound.

Great update indeed, should increase there dmg and ad repellent.
Bear traps would be nice right about now, all though would place em at my doors :)
Another addition could be rattle snakes, gets you sick, walk slow and die if you don't get antidote.
I don't think you'd be able to out-run a bear in real life.
They tell you to take your shirt off and throw it on the floor because the bear will stop and investigate it. Maybe we should make it so they can catch you easily - so you need to drop loot to distract it.. or kill it.
Thats good idea Garry. I think this game should be more like a post nuclear simulation. Should be more difficult

IRL they're solitary too, so the current situation of being gang raped by 5 isn't entirely plausible. I'm all for throwing chicken meat at them though!
They'd also run away from a human 99% of the time unless they had their cubs with them or you startled them. If they heard you coming they'd definitely run away.

Sure, make them run away, but 99% of the time is a bit too much, I like the idea, I think, when they have cubs, its 100%, how did you mean startling them, attacking them with a pickaxe? Oh and in my oppinion they should do it like 60% of the time.
If we're going with the idea of loot distracting bears, then we finally have a use for granola bars and tuna cans.

Honestly I think they were needed, i was getting tired of dear meat, haha. But i think they should drop cloth in which you can make a cool fur coat that would keep you warm!
