First time raiding the big radtown in the northwest. - Rust

So, I normally stay in the south, but I got killed by some bandits wearing red jackets and beanies. I go back to my stuff, and most of it is still their except for my wood and metal fragments. As I make my way back to my base, I come across someone. We then started a team to trail these bandits. We came across around 3 people, one had several guns for us. We made it to the radtown, and decided to look around. As we were looking through the houses, I end up stumbling across a flashlight. I ask who is it, and no one answered. It turns out it was the bandits who recently killed me. He had a Shotgun and I had a P250. I haven't really engaged anybody, so my accuracy sucked, but he had a shotgun so he just had to get lucky. I got double teamed and they looted me of the stuff I found, and my group was lost. I went back and I just kept looting it until my inventory was full. I ended up coming back with a lot of stuff. The only things missing were the research kits I got off a dead body. I just wanted to share this because it was a really intense moment, and it may be entertaining to some of you.

I got confused at the end, what exactly did you go back to loot? Did the bandits get killed? So confused :/

I looted the radtown, multiple times. I just kept running around continously getting things. They respawn after like 5 minutes. The server I am was really glitchy. Radiation didn't affect people, zombies didn't attack, workbenches didn't work, and when you toss something on the ground, it goes through it.

180 hours clocked and i still haven't been to the big rad town. i stay around the south, or go east around hacker valley. never been north west.

Until I looked at a map, I thought the rad town where the road cuts it in half was the big one. I would suggest planning a route their because it is worth it. There are at least 25 crates you can find.

I wonder how many people are like this. After a few or so hours I could navigate anywhere on the map at any point in time from anywhere I could have spawned or ended up. I moved around everywhere until I learned it.

the big one... is the one that many of us called THe Heisenberg factory.. or the factory... Some person decided that they would rename everything... and hence rad town.. is used for any spot with radiation. It was so much easier when things were called... The factory.. NW the hanger... SW the tanks ... middle south The town/ Radtown ... SE Why confuse everything.

Hacker valley is not zombie infested and there are a lot of nodes.

IMO the best overall place to stay is at Ecko Valley. you are right next to resource hole which has tons of nodes, your next to Tanks which is a farm full of zombies and crates. what more could you want!

Looks like I'm staying here! :quagmire:
