They made a few threads, the alleged DDoSers, saying they would stop when hacking was dealt with.
All those threads were junked.
I find it simply amazing there has been no official update on this situation. This has been handled very unprofessionally.
Alpha or not, you have a playerbase that simply can't play a game they paid for most of the time. The utter silence is astonishing.
Seriously?! haha they want the hacking to stop, but than they go ahead and DDOS the servers so they are shut down and nothing can be done. For all they know Garry and his team could be trying to fix them. I'm guessing it's little kids. From all the shit I saw from CSS and Gmod it was the little kids who DDOS'd. :/ Who the hell gave them a computer.
Read the homepage... They aren't completely silent. They told us they were experiencing DDOS attacks.
There was a side note about "DDOS attacks" before the servers started having issues. The utter silence since, aside from banning those who mention it on the forums, has been astounding.
Garry specifically said that he isn't dealing with hackers just [B]yet.[/B] Although we all can agree it's shitty for the moment, we might as well deal with it. They explicitly stated that the game is in early development and that it is prone to vast changes. Dealing with hackers isn't currently their priority.
Despite that though, the known hackers with evidence against them SHOULD be banned on the spot, I believe. It'd solve most of the problems the servers have been having.

Thank you! :) It is at the bottom of their newest update so people might have missed it, but yes they have been updating us about it! :)

Uhh so how is them mentioning it on the website silence lol. do you want them to remind everyone about the ddos every couple of hours or something?

I have tried to explain this to many people on the Aussie server, like you said the game is nowhere near complete they want to get their ideas and new content out, and will focus on the hacking later. Which is fine with me, I haven't even seen a hacker. haha I agree also about the hackers that have the evidence stacked against them.
Shocker, more attacks.
I really don't appreciate the lack of interest by the devs pertaining to this issue.
