Do you guys think there should add a thirst meter to the game and make drinking water just as essential? If so how to you think it should work? Post your Ideas and hopefully if we come up with something good the devs will see it and put it the game. Post your thoughts!

I figured, with people running around murdering each other along with hunger and predators the game is already hard enough to survive in.

There is a fine line where constructive criticism becomes being a Shitler. Most of you guys have passed it since long ago. This idea might have needed more thought, Getting water isn't easy when you live in the middle of the island far away from any water source.

1. I made this thread because i have another thread that talks about what should be added to the game when it is time to do so and i didn't want to clutter it with this.
2. I can handle it just fine, but just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you have to be a dick. We aren't in elementary school anymore, we know how to treat other people nicely, and if you cant deal with that, you shouldn't post shit.
3. What are you talking about when you said "my inability to use google". I regularly keep up with the updates to rust and found nothing. Plus why are you speaking for him.
4. It is a survival game with an emphasis on crafting and building, go check the description stated by the DEVELOPERS yourself.
Any other questions?
I think its a horrible idea because you could easily just combine Hunger AND thirst
and if I had the systems separated personally, I wouldn't do it fallout NV style. Instead, they would be connected. Drinking alleviates hunger, but not as much as eating, and vise versa. (Thirst also decreases faster) Over time of not drinking but only eating, you'll gradually find the "Thirst rate" grow. Vice versa as well. The Rate meter essentially causes it to shrink faster, and increases when not properly eating or drinking. It also makes it so you can still only drink or eat and survive a longer time, but you still need to do the other thing. However it barely would change much anyways and really is a bit too complex to script.
Additionally, thirst would be another thing to balance, and food meter is damn well good as is.

And games in general are supposed to be fun. If the core game mechanics are just tedious and annoying, nobody's going to play it.
Am I missing something here?
If you have to go out and harvest food and eat to live then why wouldn't water be implemented? Like really, it makes sense. Sure this is a pvp game as some stated but it's survival too whether or not you agree. Obviously if thirst was implemented into the game the devs would balance the game to make it just as easy to find water as it is to find food. Am I wrong here?
Everyone seems to think it'd be such a nuisance to go out and find water even though you have to find food.
This was originally planned but we decided to combine it into just hunger because it would make survival too hard (especially without any water sources on the map for now). You can see leftovers of water on some items (canned food)
