1. [U]Boobie Traps[/U]- i.e.(trip wires with granades, Falling hatchets/pickaxes from ceiling, trap doors that you could lure zombies/wolves/bears into that can kill intruder) this could keep your house safe from raiders and a well boobie trapped house could protect itself. 2. [U]Defensive weapons[/U]- (Gatling gun, grenade launcher) these could be placed only in a house and could help defend from raids. 3. [U]Night vision goggles[/U]- Self explanatory. 4. [U]Stone buildings[/U]-we all know stones are pretty useless after you craft furnace,crafting table. Maybe stone could be used to reinforce walls, to make them harder to break into. Or just be able to make a stone house (foundation,pillars,walls,doorway,door,window,ceiling,stairs). Could be stronger than wood but weaker that metal. 5. [U]Map[/U]- I know there is a map on forums, but sucks having to escape game to look at it. You could mark on your map locations (rad zones,friends bases, enemy bases, waypoints,etc) could be completely black (fog of war) at first and when you explore a new area it becomes revealed. 6. [U]Compass[/U]- To help orient yourself when lost and to find locations easier. 7. [U]Trading post[/U]- Allows players to set up trading post, set own prices and trade in a safe and fair way. 8. [U]Bulletproof shield[/U]- The kind that SWAT teams use when raiding homes. This could be a mobile barricade for self defense and raiding. Person behind shield would be fairly protected but have to expose self to fire back. Person behind shield would move slower and could not run. 9. [U]Gun mods[/U]- Extended clip, allows guns to carry more bullets than an non equipped gun. Bi-pod, when laying prone could be used to increase accuracy, only available on certain guns. 10. [U]Increased skills[/U]- i.e. (crafting,shooting,stamina,) Every player has a distinct play style and some like to gather resources solo and craft things, some like to gang up and raid places. This could help balance things. For example, the raider who runs around shooting alot of people could have a skill of shooting that increases his accuracy with a gun with every kill. On the other hand, the crafter that builds things all the time could build faster and better quality, like when he builds a gun his skill increases and the next gun will be more accurate. and stamina is pretty self explanatory, the more you run the more stamina you have to run longer distance. Just a few ideas, Im sure not agree with me but some ideas would be cool and could balance play styles. Let me know what you think in an INTELLIGENT way. Thx Balls
I especially agree on the traps at least, stuff like claymores, trip mines, or bear traps. The solo guys do need ways to defend against those big squads. Though i'm not sure a game like this needs skills, I don't think it would fit a game of this nature and would unbalance the game. The defensive weapons may be a bit much 'cause you won't always get attacked by a big squad, sometimes it will be just a guy or two and then the defender would have waaaayyy too much of an advantage.
I agree on all of these points, especially the base defence ones. Seeing posts like this makes me imagine how incredible the game is going to become, not that it isn't already.
The stone reinforcement is also a brilliant idea, I love that idea as much as the traps
Really good ideas, though they also include a lot of technological weaponry, in which doesnt suit the theme of this game.
