Since CheatPunch has been activated we've had 2 hackers banned, and 5 more join my server. (North America 1 (Stress Test)
They're not even hiding it.
Is it working as intended?
It's made a huge difference. Is it enabled on your server, it was only on public servers.
He is playing on official servers which is also the reason he is encountering so many hackers. The cheats will always adapt so just be patient or find a decently moderated community server.
Most of the hackers don't kill you mercilessly but there is someone on right now who is aimbotting the [B]entire[/B] server and [B]decaying everyones[/B] house.
No anti-cheat measure is going to be 100% effective, especially when you're battling the fact that the server isn't as authoritative as it could be.
CheatPunch does a fairly good job at catching hacks it was designed to catch as far as I can tell, it's just hackers are writing code against it on a daily basis, so it's difficult to catch them all and newer methods of cheating.

Exactly. This battle will never end as long as there is money to be made from creating software.

at least they are putting that money to good use and doing R&D on there own AntiHack system , so we just need to be patient and let them figure stuff out and let it get ironed out and then hopefully it will be good

the problem is,
in order to stop the cheats/hacks before, they hid a bunch of client side files (one file was the sweet file that made it all possible to hack), with those files hidden a very HUGE portion of possible hackers had nearly disappeared.
In order to activate their own cheatpunch they pulled those files back out of hiding.
So, I reckon that the number of hackers is back on the rise. (I haven't played much at all these last couple of days, so I haven't seen any)
