I see a lot of threads with hugely elaborate bases wherein someone replies with "You can just do [this] and win with two C4s."
What about a base design sort of like this (it would, obviously, have ceilings and doors)?

I know no base is "unraidable", but a design like this seems like it would force raiders to just brute-force C4 everything. I've never seen use made of intermediate walls, though—does C4 have a sort of splash-damage that would take out two layers of walls at the same time or something?
Not even possible to put a ceiling on this. you have pillars in the middle of foundations
I'll stair up, walk over the walls, use 2 C4, get in, then barricade/box jump back out
Ah, alright.
I thought ceilings could be placed as long as there was a pillar on each corner, regardless of whether or not there's a pillar in the middle. My mistake.
Thread ended, haha.

You can put one on the middle, the placement of the pillars doesn't matter as long as they align with the corners of the ceiling.

okay so his super super strong base takes 2 c4 to get into every room. why did u even respond lol

looks like it would just take 4 c4 to get to the center of that base lol...
if you could cover that base with ceilings completely it would take 6 c4s to get in.
anyway there are so many ways to raid bases... best bet is to spread out loot and try to defend against the easy cheese like pillar barricade.
Ah, ok, good. 6 C4 is what I thought.
This seems way less complicated w/ less materials than a lot of the other bases I see—enough so that it could be viable to build several of them (maybe even on top of one another w/ stairs on the outside; this way you can have several loot rooms in the middle, your loot spread out, and you don't have to spend resources for another 9 foundations. The downside is, if you're being raided, it'd be hard to go from loot room to loot room...
... unless you had something like stairs on all 4 sides w/ doors on all 4 sides; then the raiders would have to cover all four doors)
The double wall is a good idea but you would probably want a wider base foundation so you can work on the core a little more.
the double or triple wall is especially useful if you, say, build a 3x3 but build it 5+ floors high. people cant see inside, they cant see where you possible have boxes.

Probably because you made an incorrect statement, and he didn't want the OP to be misinformed?

costs fuckloads though. also you can fix this problem with small stashes. boxes are overrated
Ive made a base like that, and it works well. Mine is an 8x8 with a 2x2 in the middle. What you do to prevent people to build up is having spike walls on the foundations facing the outside, this way they cant connect new foundations to it. After doing this, you make the entire building 3 floors tall, and then cap it off with ceilings on 4th floor (only each second wall will be able to reach the ceiling). Works well. The last people who raided me had to blow out 17 walls to get my loot :)
Good luck, and feel free to ask any questions.

only if you have a 5by5 and put them inside the middle 9 foundations, otherwise you can look through holes in the outer wall and actually see everything inside. Just as you can see stairs through walls. Something they should really change...
Best bet, make a giant base, and divide your loot across all 100+ chambers and preferably worth less than 2 c4 per room, make em waste it :)
at the entrance put two doors going left and right so you can trick the raiders.also can repeat that for the middle
