I've been playing rust for 80+ hrs (not much but still).I recently took a break and when I came back and opened Rust the game loaded fine, but when I joined a server my screen went completely purple. No idea what do about it (already tried reinstalling and verifying). Specs:
Processor: Intel Quad Core i5 3.20GHz
RAM: 6GB
OS: Windows 8
Video Card: Nvidia GT 620
Resolution 1920x1080 (If required)
maybe
1) reinstall video drivers from scratch
2) check your performance by playing other games
3) make a visual inspection of the video card, if you can
Ok, so
1.I'd use that as a last resort. If absolutely nothing can be done,
2.Other games that require more power such as GTA IV or MW 3 seem to run just fine
3.Can't visually inspect it really.
Thanks though.Any more solutions anyone?
That is most definitely a driver issue. Check your driver version and upgrade it via Nvidia
here let me help....

I reinstalled the driver and tried Rust.By turning down the "Render Quality" to nothing i could see the game.. But the rocks look very broken, they seem to be flickering and look like marshmallows..
Any ideas on what to do now?

reinstall your gpu drivers.
did you use the link i gave you as the version you installed?
no no no no no, dont do any of that, just remove your launch parameters.
I actually fixed it by setting the launch options as the following "-force-d3d9" but thanks everyone for the support <3
