Supply Drops disappearing before people get to them?
8 replies, posted
So recently I've been getting reports on the server that I am admin of players saying that the airdrops are being emptied the very instant that they hit the ground. Haven't yet witnessed it myself so I'm not sure if they are just empty, like the blue gun crates sometimes are, or if they are completely disappearing before their eyes.
Does anyone know and can confirm whether or not this is a bug or a hack that someone is likely to be using? And in the event that it is a hack... any ideas on how to counter or discover whom is doing it.
Your players are trolling you.
Hacks are all clientside
and this is not a bug, it never happens.
I've heard of this before, but it's definitely not a hack.
Not sure if there was ever a fix for it, from what I understand it's pretty rare.
Have you tried just restarting the server?
Will do when it gets a little less busy just to test it out. Pretty annoying for people to be fighting over supply drops when nothing is in them ;)
I encountered it on a server I was playing a few times. EVERY airdrop on that server disappear the moment it touched the ground, until an admin fixed it somehow. It was a mass airdrop server, and with no exceptions, all supply crates were disappearing.
Guys, not gonna lie. I called BS, too. But then I realized I couldn't ignore ALL the complaints.
Then I found this:

^^^ Must watch!
most likely a glitch definietly not a hack
it is a hack actually, i think Helk patched it, cant remember.
but i remember on RustZ, Feinter had to ban tons of people because they stole all the airdrops with their hack. so yes it is a hack, and dont say its not unless you got proof! :)
could be a hack.. but i witnessed this on 3-4 different servers, some also with modified loot where airdrops dont drop a lot of valuable stuff but occur more often (cuz of supply signals).
It certainly didnt look like in the video: the crate sometiems would just pop immediately after touching the ground, other times it would pop the exact second you tried to loot it.
