VAC Banned For nothing... - Rust

So i got bored of the server that i was on and decided to go on another server. My mate and I Finally Stair cased a rock that was high enough for us to snipe from. THEN I FELL (oh no!) about halfway before i hit the ground i was disconnected and THIS: FacePunch connector Vac Banned !!! "WHAT!" now i cant play! [editline]10th April 2014[/editline] Please Help!!!

No one here can do anything for you, PrincessKenny. VAC bans are controlled exclusively by Steam/Valve. You've got to talk to them about it. Regardless of whether or not you were hacking, you've an extremely low chance of actually getting the ban lifted. I suggest immediately leaving this thread.

And as has already been pointed out Facepunch doesn't control VAC bans. Steam does. You can submit a support ticket to steam but the Chewbacca defense isn't gonna work.

I had a legitimate false positive on my old steam account four years ago and I just gave up after a while. You aren't going to get unbanned no matter what, it's something you'll have to deal with.

Every cheater tells us the same thing.Rust is their favorite game,why should they ever cheat for that and so on. If you people (cheaters)doing such things to your favorite stuff,i do not wanna think about non-favorites.

Surprised that one guy isn't here with the "This is how VAC works" deal he does. VAC detects when you've modified the game EXE or DLLs and injected your own code into them. When it detects this, it flags you has having hacked and you get banned later. That's it, that's all there is to it. It will never ban you for anything that doesn't involve modifying game files and injecting your own processes and code.

The forum name is more likely them being "clever" by using the name of a character they enjoy rather than their Steam name. The off chance it is actually a child, they might of had to go to sleep and are in school now, hence the lack of replies. I'm not totally ruling out it being a gag, just stating other possibilities.

What he is saying have a point of truth sometimes the game when you fall from high he thinks that you are cheating and bans you for flying hacks (i saw it with my own eyes)

That function will NEVER VAC ban.

I didn´t say that it was a VAC ban i said that it bans you (he was just complaining becouse he was playing in his favourite server and got banned from it) that´s what i think it is if not just a troll or a mothertrucker hacker bye kid good luck with that! not everytime results in a kick from the server!

VAC bans return that error message.

very true do not cheat and it would be all good. if people did not cheat the game would be 100 times better so grow up and play the game right
