Hello everyone, I wanted to share my twisted experience with Rust, what really realy makes me wanna take a break. I hope to write this in a simple list format, with short explanations, so here I go. The order these things are, are from least annoying to most (the last things on the list are nearly game breaking for me):
1. Spammers: People whining about getting shot, killed, mugged, hackers and everything.
1.1: People asking and complaining that the workbenches aren't working.
2. The workbenches not working, I wouldn't mind if it didn't prevent me from building anything safer to live in.
3. When you combine both of the above, I feel left out, I never get raided, I don't get shot, I don't see hackers, I don't see any unfairness. I never risk too much, I accumulate insane amount of resources that never get snatched up from me. I single handedly started building a small fort (3 x 4, may even expand on that further). I am in no real danger, the only time I feel slightly afraid is when I find some one elses piles of goods, and am never sure will I bring them all back.
So yes... my main complain is that I don't feel threatened, I don't feel like I'm being hunted. Usually I am the one causing havoc, and I'm a single player.
Anyone else feel left out of the fun? At times, since I never risk much, I just like luring bullets out of people guns, some people shoot at me like 15 times with a pistol, and I think that's worth something.

Are you playing on a populated server? What you're described sounds a lot like a low pop server.
come to North America 4 I get raided every night while I am asleep/at school. plenty of hackers, cheaters, raiders and people if you into that kind of stuff lol buts it's all great fun!

It sounds like you aren't playing on a very populated server, get on a server with 75+ players and you'll be killed by all these naked trolls! :quagmire:

Agreed. It's not a Rust problem by any means, it's a MMO problem. My solution is to always try to find these people and repeatedly kill them ("Hey I'll give you kev, meet me in north valley") ("Oh man sorry i shot you, where is your base, I'll bring your stuff back?") Then repeatedly murder them until they leave (and/or come here and post a thread about me being a hacker).

I thought this was just me being dumb. Are others experiencing the same issues? What happens to me:
1) I stand in the workbench area and confirm that "Workbench" shows in the status area. I go to build something, but it won't craft because "workbench required". I definitely have enough supplies. This seems to happen most immediately after first building a workbench, but not always.
2) I craft something at the workbench, but then it disappears. At first I thought this was due to full inventory, but I can randomly replicate this without full inventory. Seems to always involve the workbench -- but I'm not 100% sure about that.
