Realistic Tech Trees? (A lathe, a generator, a cart and a bear to pull them along)

Hello again guys,
I think what contributes to the sense of imbalance is the ease of how from a stone (pebble) furnace and a wooden bench you can create fire-arms. I know that the action aspect of the game is an important part of the alpha but I wonder about how tech trees need to develop more long term.
Its true that very small workshops in places like India and Pakistan can manufacture AK-47's, all you need (lol he says) is a generator, decent lathe, metal working bench and reaming machine in order to be well on you way to being able to generate the parts from stock gun metal for an AK. With the irradiated industrial zones in Rust, it would fit nicely into the mythos of the game where people have to develop a technical tree in order to develop a cart/wagon for retrieving more realistic machinery from factory units. In a place irradiated and teeming with zombies this would be no straightforward task. (Especially given that the raid would have to be with Bows, Hatchets and possibly crossbows). Generators need fuel from the various tanks in irradiated zones etc.
Just ideas I'm throwing about. When I think about it, it has not took long for DayZ to develop its 'epoch' mod where building and trading are going some way to replace the monotonous raiding of others bases/strongholds and spawn camping.
In another life (before the heady heights of what I do now), I was a project engineer developing cutting technologies and blade geometry. Knife's are another tech tree possibility.
Anyway as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels would put it.....
"Guns for show, knifes for a pro!"
Just spit-balling at lunchtime, let me know what you think?
I'm sure you will........ :)

How in the flying fuck would you capture a bear and tie it up to a cart

LOL.
I want the ability to tame wolves to guard my base.
I want to ride a bear into a firefight.
