• Rust Crashes every time I launch. PLEASE HELP
    11 replies, posted
When I launch rust, it goes through everything on the FacePunch screen then a box pops up saying "Oops! The game crashed. The crash report folder named "...." next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game! Please tell me how to fix this, or how do submit the log. Thank you! edit: I'm running windows 7. I've spent countless hours on rust, but took a long hiatus, and I now want to get back into it. I've tried verifying the files via steam as well.
Specs plz

You have just one gpu right? No duel monitors?
I have duel monitors (technically 3) And yes just the one gpu (graphics card)
Unplug all but the main. Sometimes rust like to run on the integrated graphics chip set on your motherboard. sometimes having multiple monitors forces it to behave like this. in the nvidia control panel force rust to run on your graphics GPU. Also update your drivers for your GPU and Windows. See if it will launch. Rust is a early access game and it is not optimized. the nvidia control panel has set parameters for games that are already pre optimized. since rust does not fall in this category you have to actually tell your computer what to do with it. since Nvidia does not have anything set for it
Still no luck, mate :( Tried all of that
I forget what the settings are. The key is the nvidia control panel. Google nvidia control panel rust and see what you get
Still no luck, yet again. I tinkered with it all, and even followed some youtube things as well. Rust used to run in the past. Haven't changed anything in the 4 months I stopped playing
Mmm Idk you could try to roll back your GPU driver. See what happens
