Rust Dev's, For the love of the game, sort out the wall regen. Rust could be so fun and has been in the past but this fact that you cannot raid with a stone/metal hatchet anymore because the walls regen so quick is just absolute rubbish. Just fix it, it should be default you can break down walls, turning it off should be for RP and PvE servers. Please, I do not care about containers, bushes looking good, just fix.the.darn.wall.regen.
Yeah when I had a salvage axe and a normal hatchet I tried raiding a stone wall. sometimes depending on my connection I can't break through them even with those.
I came here like a month ago and people were complaining that you could raid with a hatchet.
Yeah I can raid with normal hatchet (not stone) and salvage axe. But sometimes with lag or something the hits don't get timed properly so it'll actually heal up and I'll have to re-hit it down 10 points or so. very irritating when every point of damage is a struggle.
being able to get into someones base should be because you spent forever farming the materials for c4 or whatever
LOL, no. In legacy you could show up on a server and have a decent stockpile of C4 an hour later. Bring some friends and you can destroy the server in very little time.
Making it too easy to raid people means that people aren't likely to build stuff worth raiding.
Making it too easy to raid people means that people aren't likely to build stuff worth raiding.
I agree, raiding needs rebalanced. Right now it's not only way too easy but also patently ridiculous. If I'm going to break into a house, I'm not going to hatchet through a wall. I'm going to pick the lock or ram the door or smash a window or a dozen other things before I resort to smashing a wall.
I think it's fair to be able to hatchet through a wood wall with enough people. However, you should need at least 2 people, and it should take awhile. Potentially to the point where it's undesirable to do so unless you're desperate or bored. Stone, and metal when available, should not be able to be broken with tools when there are additional options like explosives or raiding tools available.

This looks cool! I should be able to take it down with a swift kick of my Urban Boots!
that's simply not true
Oh, it is. Very, very true. On a stock server C4 was very easy to come by, whether it was crafting, raiding, or looting / airdrops. That's why it's hilarious to see all the people posting about how "you guyyyyyyyyyyyys, raiding is waaaaaaaaaaay too easy, bring back C4 to make it hard!"
