A few friends and myself decided to build a new base in the snow. We've just started on the server and don't have the best in clothing yet, pretty much full burlap or leather sets. We're good during the day but at night we have to huddle around our campfire to stay warm. I stood there with my friends, huddled around our fire grasping to what little warmth I could, waiting for crafting to finish, staring into the steady burning glow of the furnace across the room and I thought: Why am I huddled around this campfire when there are 4 furnaces right across the room from me. Why are these furnaces not heating this entire structure?
Seems like it would be a rather simple implementation that could have really good impacts. I understand not being able to run around outside in the dark and frigid night in nothing but a burlap suit, but giving a generous heat radius to furnaces and removing the ability to place/light a campfire indoors would be something that would make sense and add more dynamic and realism to the game.
Furnaces providing heat (comfort) had been announced several updates ago and had been added, at least on the dev builds. Then it just disappeared never to be heard of again.
I agree. It's retarded that you need a camp fire when you have multiple furnaces that SHOULD be providing WAY more hear.
