• Any hackusation free servers?

I've been playing lately, and I haven't really gotten into the end game PvP bit yet cause I keep leaving servers. All I see when I log in is "x is aimbotting" "x is hacking" "x is esp" "x is speedhacking cause he won a rockfight" and it's just so annoying. There's no chat, just constant accusing and whining it really turns me off for the day so I just log out cause I don't wanna deal with it. I know these people are just getting outplayed but the sad thing is I've seen admins just blatantly ban legit players. Part of me just wants EAC to come to the old rust just so people can finally realize that they just suck at the game, and the people that kill them aren't hacking. Any server that doesn't have this toxicity? Like a server where if you got a hackusation just PM the admin with proof or something and keep it the hell out of chat?
Nope!
You should try our server nightblade. We only ban with proof like a screenshot or video. Bloodisgood.ord/rust Check it out. Ask me if you have any problems :) Greetz Kanlo edit: bloodisgood.org/rust
U shouldnt leave the server lmao, only get banned for being good. Being called a hacker now a days means you're better than them. Happens to me all the time but it's fine. I built up a reputation where me and my buddy are falsely accused and it has come to a point where nobody gives a shit cause they know that were legit, just keep playing and get to know admins. Majority of people that call hacks are nakeds, i really dont understand why but they do, i mean, all they have is crap in their inventory and yet they still rage. Also some noobs think u hack because ur aiming only at the head and at some point u get a headshot lmao, even if they stand still. I mean, do they want us to aim at their legs or something lmao. A lot of hackussators play now a days so dont worry, keep playing if u really love the game and get to know the rust community that has skilled players.

No server is perfect with this, but we have a ban list with over 1,000 Steam accounts that grows every day (preventing several hackers from joining to begin with). - UpsetStarship
no hackusations? nah, not likely with the legacy playgroup. admins who only make well founded bans? probably out there:)

I want to spend my time playing the game of Rust, not playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney gathering evidence to prove people are hacking. If the server I'm on doesn't take hackusations seriously and bans aggressively, I leave immediately. This is just the way thing have to be until Facepunch bothers to solve the hacking problem code-side.

You Should provide some type of proof to back up your claim. It is unfortunate that this is a requirement in many servers but look at it from the admins point of view. From my experience: 1. many, many times, seasoned players that generally got whipped by less kitted out (but lucky) players or other teams called them out as 'probably' hacking, solely for the reason that the more seasoned player was killed. Couldn't find a shred of evidence or anything suspicious in the server logs, vetting players profiles etc 2. Squeakers (also known as Twelvies) generally will ALWAYS call hacks on anyone when they get butthurt/upset/annoyed or otherwise have a grudge against another player. again, 100% of these instances in my server turned up no evidence in the logs, discussions with other (neutral) players as well as knowing that the accused players were long time players on the server whom I knew don't cheat 3. I had one not very bright kid bug me for a few days to spawn him an M4. The very next day he called out another player for hacking, the story was the 'Hacker' took this poor fellows new M4 and he wanted me to spawn him a replacement. Again more time wasted and logs reviewed to show that 1. not only was the accused not even playing that day and 2. the same day not 1 hour before the chat logs revealed that the 'Victim' was asking other players if they had M4's and if he could borrow it to research, already annoyed with his childish behavior in the server thus far they replied with a healthy 'Fuck off', so he never had one to begin with. 4. When the same player initially joined the server he called hacks because someone raided his shitty 2x1 base and replaced the walls behind them, and demanded they be banned. The only other players on at the time were interviewed, and they admitted yes they did indeed raid this idiot but also felt a bit sorry for him so they replaced what they destroyed to get in. Because of the requirement in my server to provide proof, haccusations are only thrown around by new players or ones that never bothered to join the steam group or read the in game rules. The last time we had a hacker in, one of the players recorded a 10 second clip using FRAPS of this guy flying, quietly linked it to me on steam and he was banned not 10 minutes after he had joined. A rather simple process - you make it seem like the simple task of getting this type of evidence is seriously time consuming and impacting your game play, when in reality it is not. An admin should still check out all allegations made, but without any type of proof to back up the claims and a flimsy story by the accuser, its a bit hard to follow up 'Aggressively', wouldn't you agree?
The best servers have admins that do the investigating. They have the ability to teleport and observe people playing and that's what they should do. If someone cries wolf too many times, the admin should just start ignoring that user. As for your example: - Fraps produces huge files and you usually have to compress to send it to anyone. - You have to run to the cheater and hope he does something obviously cheatsy before he kills you. - You have to get close enough that you can capture his screen name. I'm not willing to do any of this. I'm not a college student on summer break. I have maybe an hour to play a day and I'm not going to spend half of that time playing investigative reporter getting a cheater on tape, when the admins can just be present and TP to the alleged cheater.
The best admins do both. Ignore the baddies who cry hacks when they get killed by better players, but investigate when there are multiple allegations or when a player they trust (who never cries wolf) spots one. Dblock and williamwallace are the best admins I have seen so far for this. I never saw them ban a legit player, but they aggressively investigated hackusations made by mature players. Only downside was it was pretty much a full time job on a 100 man server and they never got to play much.
On the servers I admin we have a few chronic whiners. By all means let an admin know if you think someone is cheating, so we can go check it out. But you better have something better than "because he killed me". Anyone who floods the server with constant whining gets banned. Simple as that. Go find another server to annoy.
I suggested one time while playing on a server where myself and friends have been accused of cheating, that it would be really cool if a server ran a sort of reputation-use system. If you call a hacker and it's not determined to be true, you will lose the right to call hacker again. If you have 2-3 accusations queued at once and they all turned out false, instead I would ban you for being a shit head. Of course, because you can't just "tell" if someone is hacking, this would be something where you say "okay, we're monitoring them, don't mention it again." and if after 1-3weeks nothing comes of it, I would check them off as good for now, and make it a strike against the accuser. The point of this isn't to punish accusers, but instead deter them. If they think someone is legitimately hacking, I would want to know, but a lot of people don't think twice, they just say well everyone hacks on rust, so if something looked even remotely suspicious, I'm calling it out. I have lots of times in game where I'm like, fuck that was a bullshit thing he just did. How the hell did he manage that? Then I respawn, and get double headshotted too? Then I start calling them bs or hacker on skype with my allies. But it's not a serious accusation, it's more like a redflag for watch the fuck out for this guy, and if you catch any proof be sure to call it out.

NO THANKS
