There is alot of server where the admin abuse... Can we do complaint somewhere? There should be law that admin have to obey like in dayz. I was on a server all day. Then the admin come to our house put c4 on it. We get out and shot him with m4... did nothing he kill us with hatchet then ban both of us...

They pay for the server, they can do what they want. Play on other servers.
Deal with it.
No you can't complain about that.
And actually we don't even want you to complain about that.
Go ahead and find a server with good admins.
Beginner friendly servers tend to have mature admins.
You're asking where we can report people that do what they want with servers they purchased?
move to a server where there is no admin abuse :)

I'm sorry no one has decided to help you with this. There are a few things you can do (in addition to leaving server) so others do not suffer the same. Go to the following sites and post your experience on the server.

Also try to find the servers facepunch > server post and add additional negative comments.

Great, motivate him to post negative stuff.
It's not like we already got enough of that here.
How about a other form?

Hate to say it but especially now as the whitelists have been added you're going to have a hard time finding servers with admins that don't abuse their powers.
Facepunch is never going to do anything about admin abuse as the admins pay for the servers and can effectively do whatever they want with them.
Your options are essentially limited to:
1. Get your own server. They're not expensive.
2. Find a friend who plays on a server who will vouch for the admins, and go play on that one.
3. Suck it up and deal with it.
There really aren't any other options.

Never said they don't have immature admins every time.
Btw, try to avoid memes.
Some mods don't like it.

Rust Facepunch has a section for advertising your server. Anyone can post to the threads in that section with their thoughts on the advertised server. I believe it will help new players in their decision to join or not. Also, the guy doesn't sound like he needs any additional motivation from me.

Lol Elix. I love how you downplay every flaw with the game and tell people to go take a flying f*ck constantly. You are so transparent.
Admin abuse is a serious issue. We play on official servers and get our shit hacked into oblivion, we play on private servers and can spend months going from server to server trying to find one with an admin that doesn't abuse their privileges.
This is a problem the devs should be paying attention to. If you really want to help Rust develop, listen to the player base instead of playing Facepunch's advocate all the time.

I hate to agree with him, but its true. If you pay for the server, you can pretty much make up the rules as you go.
But with that said its also a maturity or lack there of that makes that server owner, admin good or bad. I for one will not raid, or even purposely shoot a player as an admin, I try to help our little bambi's as much as possible and keep them somewhat safe for a few days as they learn to play. Not all admin are this way.
There are way to many servers to "drop" in on and go on a murderous rampage! Which is what I prefer to do.

That's why you have to fill in an application form and send it to Valve before you can admin a TF2 server, right?

A better idea than whining would be to buy your own server, maybe you wouldn't have to put up with admin abuse ya know?
if he went there with godmode on then i can understand it,
but i hate when ppl see an admin with c4 raiding your base and thinks automaticly they are spawning in stuff or whatever.
they payed for the server, and have probably played long before you came to the server so no wonder if they have stacked up with stuff

Actually there is. Join mine. Problem solved.
Stay away from Taco Cave server total admin hacking, massive airdrops for just admins. Controlled max player to 3 until they were done with airdrops
This is hard from both sides of the fence. Players getting bummed over by abusive admins. problem is there are good admins out there doing the right thing, that are having issues finding enough players to get their server off the ground (I am one of them).
I guess with the alpha as it is now, all you can do is take some of the admins up on their offer to join their server, if they are abusive, move on till you find a server with a good admin. Many servers will list NO ADMIN ABUSE or something like that to attract new players but i rarely see this put into practice.
My player base is small atm, but I'm happy that the people in there are having a great time, for an admin, that should be all that matters.
You can join someone who doesn't do admin abuse, join my server im the admin and will not abuse

Rust is different from many other games in so much that server admins are allowed to do whatever the hell they want. They can spawn everything in the game in a pile at their feet, they can give it to their friends, they can give themselves over 9000 C4, they can teleport anywhere, they can go invisible, they can activate god mode and run around killing and raiding whoever they want, whenever they want and then kick/ban you if you 1. kill them 2. raid them 3. complain about it being killed or raided by them.
Since Facepunch allows server admins to do all this the only option you have is 1. bitching about it 2. not playing on their server.
There are always the official servers, that are non-moderated that you can play where there are no admins to abuse their powers, however hackers are running rampant on the official servers right now and have repeatedly nuked entire official servers repeatedly and still no word from Facepunch while the entire servers and player populations continue to get steamrolled. Such is life.
Your other option is to just look for a community server where the admins are not complete douches, of which there are many.
I do not feel like advertising here, but I'm going to put a little bit out there. I know for a fact as well, that while the Rust servers are so cheap - the numerous of Garry's Mod players increase to Rust, a lot of these are people that didn't mind donating to get some admin features on DarkRP ETC.
- I'm currently launching Blaze, a different gaming community.
I can't show you any truth as of now to why you should be choosing to join our community. Due to our website not being online yet - since I've been working on it for over 2 months now. This is my upcoming business, and I'm absolutely sure that this will be a success. Join us now while we're fresh, or if you'd like to wait a bit, and actually get some truth to it - throw me on your steam friends list. And I'll even provide a sneak peak on our website, add me on Steam - and I'll answer all your questions.
Blaze is for the players, and the community is entirely based on what the Blaze gamers wants.
I'm going to list an IP to the Rust server along with my Steam ID.

- This is nothing commercial, this is simply to provide the Facepunch users a gameserver, in which You build the server, You tell us what You guys want on the server, we're open to our players. And I'm available on steam 24/7 - so if you feel like an admin is bugging you out, or a hacker has entered your base. We're here for You!
Okay so giving my input to this topic.
To start off with...yes i am an admin on a server, but no i dont abuse my power, because of mainly 2 reasons.
1. All the fun would just dissapear if i would spawn c4 and raid everything to hell/kill with godmode.
2. People would just leave and we would be alone in the server which is also quite bad.
Our server has been up since christmas and its a small 50 player server with an active 20-30 population. Why people stay? Because me and my fellow 2 admins are online alot, listen to our players, actually notice good suggestions and try to investigate complaints as best as possible.
Ofcourse there have been players that have accused us of abusing but there have been like 3-4 incidents like that in 2 months, usually after banning someone for violating server rules and the majority of players backing us, the admins.
So there is hope, not all admins are bad and hopefully the "Admins are always bad and guilty and abuse" mentality fades away a little in time cause there are admins who care about the population of their servers and work their asses off sacrificing a big chunk of actual play time ( collecting resources, looting radtowns etc...) to investigate claims and try to improve the life in servers.
This is a flip side of cheap server rentals. Over 10 years ago my then clan had a UT server, it used to cost over $250 a month to run it. Serious money filtered out the kids with pocket money, not many could a afford a server on thier own, so chiping in and democracy came naturally.
Nowdays monthly rental costs less than the game itself so kids have two options when raging for whatever reason - buy a hack or buy own server, for the same amount of money. Buying server doesnt give you VAC ban so here is a bonus.
TL:DR
majority of admins buy the server for this one reason - to gain advantage without VAC ban.
If you are looking for PVE server with rules(raiding, no killing on sight) then join us, visit..

Admins are not abusing their commands, we gather everything as normal player. We have no friends in the server, noone is untouchable.

Amen.
Yesterday we were flamed and named just because we heard shots and nuked raiding party.
"Admins sucks they know where everyone is".
Nice, buy yourself a server and check for yourself that we can't know that ;)
Typical.
