Not sure what happened. I was hanging out in my hut, makin' a furnace, when I could not longer interact with anything. Then my screen blacks out and goes to this odd scene, that I can't move within:

The shadow inside the building is some sort of animated creature. It looked like a werewolf moving it's head and torso back and forth. I can't even tell where this is supposed to be in the game, I don't recognize it. Now I can't get back in the server.

The new menu background. Press ESC and a menu should show up.
That happens when the server crashes for some reason.

Also if you have shadows on you might see a bear shadow and it moves :O

i saw (somewhere) someone had the same problem, they said the servers are down at that time (dont know if its true though.
I had this problem when I lost connection from my internet, but refreshing the page brought me back on rust.
Same thing happened to me once. Just keep reloading and trying different servers until you spawn.
Its a bug, it can happen anytime. Just refresh your browser and it will be fine.
