Anyone else have this problem? a few weeks ago, it populated thousands of servers, and over 10k players in a matter of seconds... now it takes 5 minutes to just populate 200 servers with about 400 players...
how can i fix this? my internet is fine. I'm connected via ethernet to my router. i get 14ms ping. 65down/15up. should be no reason it takes this long to get shit for a server list..

I have seen this before. I just closed the game and reopened it. For some reason the servers were coming in at an insanely slow rate.
i've closed the game, and even reinstalled it multiple times.
Has anyone else been having this issue:
Sometimes loading the server list will completely kill my internet connection for a few minutes. This happens to my entire network, not just the computer I'm playing Rust on. Everything connected to my router will lose connection for a few minutes.
This has been the most frustrating issue I've had with Rust and it's just so bizarre. Why the hell would loading the server list completely kill the internet for my entire house? Please devs, if other people have this issue, look into it! This should not be happening!
Yo speak! I've been having the same problem. It's usually fine on the first refresh, but If I refresh again at all it might load 2 servers. Like hue said, it seems to screw up my connection. If my server list won't load and I log out of steam, I can't log back in. Steam acts as if it's not detecting an internet connection. I have had some success with closing Steam using the task manager instead of just closing it normally, but it's pretty inconsistent.

sup JC! havent seen ya in a while. hope all is well. this problem is very frustrating. it rarely loads the same servers twice, so if i find one I like, I have to remember the IP if I want to join it. Even if friends are in the server, it still wont load. Also, it doesnt matter for me if its the first refresh, or the 10th. its just always horrible every time. I havent heard my roommates complain about it effecting the other computers in the house.. so i dont think thats an issue, Hue
bump. anyone find a fix for this yet?
Have you tried setting exceptions in your router's firewall? You should add exceptions for the Steam client as well as the Rust client.
May not be a perfect fix but it would at lease keep Rust from screwing up everybody's connection.
Also, make sure that you don't have conflicts arising from any anti-virus that you have installed. Try temporarily disabling anti-virus and see if you get better results.
