I checked the rules, so hopefully this is allowed here :)
For the past few weeks I have been developing a website where players can [URL="http://www.rustserverfinder.com"]list their Rust servers[/URL] and I'm really hoping this community could provide me with feedback.
[B]It does what you would expect:[/B]
- Pings servers every 5 minutes and returns online status, players, version etc
- Provide players with robust search functionality: search by text or tags
- Provide players and owners with dynamic banners that update with server information. Example:

[B]There are some planned features:[/B]
- Report to the server owner who has voted (in case a server owner wants to reward their players)
- WYSYWG interface for server descriptions
- Super Lucky Random Server: Servers that are active will be displayed at the top the site on each pageview. That way every server has good visibility regardless of votes.
[B]Why should you care?[/B]
- The site is relatively new, so that means you have a very good chance at top placement.
- It's a fast, secure, and a clean site - visitors have a positive experience browsing. It's easy to search and filter for the results you want.
- A lot of Top100 sites are hard to get good placement in. The alternative is paying $300-$500 a month to buy your way to the top. We don't do this.
I'm hoping I could ask you guys for some feedback, what would you change, fix, or improve? The site is in beta, so there are some bugs that need squashing, but my eyes are tired :(

I think it's a very nice idea even though it's probably soon to be implemented into the game itself. Still nice, regardless.

I fully expect Facepunch to implement a better browser, however, most people are looking for good communities, active admins, etc.
Rust Server Finder provides a great deal of flexibility where traditional server browsers can’t: server descriptions, links to websites, uptime stats, popularity.. things that Source queries don’t typically measure. I’m also pretty active with development and will bring in new features as Rust evolves. I don’t expect the developers to focus too many resources on building the ‘ultimate’ server list.
But I could be wrong. Who would've thought cavemen clubbing eachother with rocks could compete with Minecraft or Counterstrike :smile:

You advertise "Rust Server Finder has the most populated Rust servers around", yet every filter comes up with [I]your [/I]server, which has 0 people playing on it. Most of the other servers are underpopulated as well.
Just an observation.
This is a good idea, but there needs to be an option to search by how many players are online. Everyone's server on the front page is empty. o.O

Interesting, I just looked and I can see populated servers!
I will add in that functionality very soon, however. That's a great idea.

Weird, I'm sitting here refreshing the first page and the populations go like this in order, starting at number 1: 0/50, 14/100, 0/0, 23/100, 3/50, 0/0, 8/100, 8/50....
tpa, sethome, kit, home, alwaysday, economy, money, stats, rankings, removetool
Hope they help...
Also my server is offline right now due to a ddos attack but... it's usually 18+ pop

Oh I see what you mean. Yes currently the list is sorted by popular vote. I may start omitting results with offline servers based on uptime percentage.

This is a current experiment, I haven't decided if I want to keep it. I'm actually looking at other ideas that increase server visibility. Thanks for the feedback!
Some news today!
We've updated the site with some great new features:
- Filtering: You can now filter by country, users online, highest rank, newly registered servers, and most uptime. We're working hard on making this section more "pretty," bear with us for now :)

Just finished updating the filters and making it a little tidier. We also added the option to find populated servers based on percentages, not player count.

New update today: Voter Stats!
Server owners can now keep track of voters and the amount of times players vote. This is an optional feature, but can work really for server owners who want to reward their players for voting daily.
When signing up or updating an existing server, users will be presented with this option:

When players vote, they can optionally submit their names and the server owner will be able to report on who has voted:

There is an API in the works so admins can integrate stats into their websites too! I'll hopefully have that sorted in the next few days and will make an announcement as soon as it's available.
New Update! We've massively overhauled our design to something a little cleaner looking:

We've also started using the Steam login API to prevent voter fraud and make it easier for server owners to list and manage servers.
We have a lot of new ideas on the horizon and appreciate everyone's feedback so far!
