Hi, I thought of an idea of how you could have different styles of maps which effect everything in the game. For example one idea could be a nuclear wasteland instead of being stranded on an island where animals are mutated, supplies are harder to come by and radiation zones are a lot more intense and Another environment could be an arctic map that has polar bears and penguins instead of boars and bears for example. There are many thoughts that come to mind when thinking of different environments and rust has the potential to add these features so thought it was worth a mention.
Also in doing this it would give the game a more atmospheric and emmursive feel and it has to be said, would it hurt to have hidden underground cave systems and basement hallway type sewer things in the game too.
It's Already being planned and the Rust map is only using 10% of the entire map for now
Definitely eager to experience richer environment. Current placeholder map seems rather big, but in reality after familiar with it, it's not really THAT big at all. Bigger map, more places to explore, can't wait for it!
Despite the current game is rather bland and simple, yet I can't stop playing it, just bought it last weekend. Reason is simple - to be honest, it have the feeling of Stalker. Usually I'm skeptical about purchasing a game, moreover an unfinished game, but the description mentioned "Stalker alike" thats where I decide to dump 20 bucks on it...
It definitely not disappoint even on current alpha build. Looking forward for more abandoned facilities to explore, underground areas, highly contaminated areas, mutant lair, etc.
Everust mountain needs to be a snow mountain :p
