• Please allow pillars on ceilings

See title. Currently I can only place pillars on top of foundations... This makes all houses equally box-esk. If I could place pillars on top of ceiling tiles right in the center, then I could create different shape designs. I tried building an hourglass. 5x5, 4x4, 3x3, 2x2, 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5. The problem is all the pillars I have to use from the foundation prevent any of my levels from being usable. It's kind of annoying. =( It would look much cooler if I didn't have to run the tiles up from the ground.
I don't get what you're trying to do? You can place pillars on pillars. So put a pillar in the middle and go up from there? :/
It's a good idea, boxes get boring damn quick. I'd also like some sort of support beam so you can build horizontally above ground level.
If you can build horizontally it opens a huge can of worms. You could build a bridge over the top of a resource valley and walk along it shooting everyone, etc. You could built out over the ocean. You could build a slightly higher tower than your rivals, and then bridge out over the top of them and drop down inside.

Even 1 space over would make bases 100% more interesting.
This could be done before but I'm sure it was removed due to griefing. You could place middle pillars on the top floor of a house and mess up his house big time since he wouldn't be able to place more roofs.
Hopefully home ownership fixes this issue and allows building on top of ceilings.
*bump*
bump =)

*bump* Also I would like the ability to create "half-walls"
"You could build a bridge over the top of a resource valley " been working on this one. i think have a build that will work for it. should be pretty to look at Peace B
