Hi,
I'm a strong Legacy supporter, but I started playing on amsterdam 3 new rust after the barrels/blueprint additions. Few days ago I noticed 2 people who were wiping enemy bases. They did it first with a small base, so I thought they would have just destroyed one wall, and then activated the cupboard, but then more houses started to disappear in the same area, around their base, even big ones. So I started to add more cupboards to my base to avoid them to do it on mine. Well, today I logged in and my base is completely gone. If they did it legit, they would have to destroy about 4 wooden walls and 8 stone walls. which personally I feel they didn't, so I'm inclined to think they hacked through walls or such.
The cupboard is another silly mechanic, which ruins the game. Long live Legacy.
I've seen people using cupboard bypass hack more than once, once while I was in my base.
I've had people build up to a base built on a rock as well, and I had cupboards at both end of the rock. They also might have had noclip, as they got to my main room, looted stuff, and destroyed the cupboard, all without any walls being removed. I guess if they have cupboard bypass they could remove the wall then put it back...but there are definitely some funky things going on. That base should have been unraidable.
It was a little sad for me, as it was a big base so I let a couple of guys stay with me. Before the hack raid that happened above, someone got in and took a bolt action, so I figured it must have been one of the two guys I had staying with me. I asked them both, neither knew what was happening, so I figured one of them must have lied...destroyed their sleeping bags and deauthed them from the cupboard.
After the second raid where it was obvious I had got hacked, I msged them and apologised...but I can understand them being rightly annoyed. I haven't hung out with them since this happened.
That's far worse than some hacker aimbotting you and taking your shit.
There's been talk of hackers on the main dev servers. Might wanna switch to a good community server. Don't worry tho, all the servers are gonna be updated and wiped tomorrow, so you would have lost that stuff anyway.

Sorry, i was a bit unclear. I mean how , where or when die you see them sprak or write about the server update/patch? I never seem to find any information about upcoming patches and changes until the patchday itself...

ahh sweet, thanks! I didn't know about the websites & stuff, fairly new to the game (1 month max). I don't have Twitter myself though, does that matter?

The websites / links you've given me. Those are the ones who only show the already updated stuff. My question rather is about the upcoming patches. Isn't there any information about what is coming next of what they're working on first?

ACtually no, the twitter posts you see are things being tested. Most of the time you'll see a ton of updates on the twitter over the course of a week, and then they release everything on Fridays, along with a devblog informing people as to what was released. When you see an update on the twitter that says "protocol++" that means when the patch goes live the server will require a wipe. Most of the time, this is every friday but we do get times where you can go 2 weeks without a wipe.
So everything you see on the twitter are things NOT in the game yet.

Alright, thanks for the information. So Twitter is prepatch info and once it hits the dev blog, it's implemented in to the game. Haven't seen any " protocol++ " in the last 24h, so why are you so sure it's going to be wiped?

If you scroll far enough down there is one from probably 2-3 days ago, if I recall correctly. I check the twitter quite frequently.

On the main topic, it sounds like you only had three foundations to your building. With the stability system people could just knock out your foundations to take the whole building down.

On the bright side, the blueprints you've learned will not be wiped. At least, they aren't wiped during a standard server wipe. It IS possible to wipe everyones blueprint, but I assume we'd have some type of warning.
Glad theres a wipe. We built up a lot this weekend only to have a glitch take it all away from us. Made me pretty sour.
Most weeks though I wish there wasn't a wipe. Oh well.
I'm pretty sure there's some sort of exploit being used as I had a solid stone base all walls and floor and roof. Got raided, and then five of us tried to break back into my house but couldn't so I don't know how someone got in.

Currently i have the situation on having a lot (not the fanciest stuff) and i kinda hate to lose it already :D

I'm glad there will be a wipe, Facepunch London I is severely fucked up right now, people can't build and things are generally pretty messed up in terms of desync and hackers.
