I'm sure Rust will have rain and snow in the game soon, but what about more unique events such as...
Thunder Storms- Rain would be much heavier making it harder to see and lighting could have a rare chance of destroying wooden house parts.
Blizzards- In snow Biomes snow would fall so hard making visibility in game extremely hard to see and running/walking speed would decrease due to so much snow on the ground.
Flooding- Constant rain would create lakes of water possibly making you have to swim to your house. (Water level would slowly go back to normal)
Sand Storms- In Dessert biomes wind would blow sand decreasing visibility, wind speed would make running/walking slower.
Radioactive Rain- Due to radiation around the Rust island rain clouds would collect radiation particles and rain them down on anyone under the clouds causing radiation poisoning. (Taking cover in a house would keep you safe)
Droughts- Lakes and rivers would dry up forcing you to explore for another water source.
Please comment if these environmental events would be realistic in Rust, and feel free to add your own ideas of some events that would match the Rust game play.
Dessert biomes? You can sign my fat ass up for that. The sandstorms would mess that up a bit, but I have had to deal with much worse before when it came to getting my hands and mouth around some cake.

I see you, DanC.
First thing im going to do once it goes public server is find a place where there is no grass because I wont be able too find crap in it.
But yeah Im sure they will get too that, all you suggested is the weather can be more "severe" but yeah I also agree with the flooding, some of these map bonus effects would be nice.
I look forward too tracking foot prints.
