Input from anyone is greatly appreciated. I am the owner of Astro’s Rusty Island and I couldn’t disagree more with Eunson’s (Steam name Kc) post here. I do want to thank Kc again for presenting me with this video (which was recorded 10 days ago) because as soon as I watched it the admin in the video (Cobra Deesel) was removed as an admin. Since then Kc and his friends have been playing on my server regularly and not until yesterday was his friend (TRauck) banned for using an exploit to shoot through walls. We don’t allow exploiting on the server and I’m sure other admins do not allow it also. I think not and I will assume that any other server owners\admins would not want this type of behavior on their server either so I feel obligated to include the Steam ID’s of both Kc & TRauck for any active admins who do not allow exploiting on their servers: TRauck (76561197970238655) Kc (76561197964291405) So let’s get this straight, contrary to what you say was the reason you and your friend were banned from Rusty Island: “The owner of the server, later bans Trauck and myself for killing him in a gun fight.” In all actuality your friend was banned yesterday for using an exploit that allows him to shoot through walls which I have enough evidence of that from the above videos. You, Kc, were banned for spamming the chat in the server today with the video you recorded 10 days ago which was already handled swiftly and accordingly and you have since been a regular in my server. To add I’ve been at work all day today so I haven’t been in any “gun fights” and haven’t been since the latest wipe on the 25th of this month because I have been too busy investigating issues like the one your friend was banned for. Again, I thank you for the video you sent to me 10 days ago about Cobra Deesel, even though I feel it was a mistake on his part and unintentional (he was in training and I gave him admin 1 hour before this video was recorded and removed him as admin minutes after I viewed it) I take admin abuse serious enough to remove any admin who may be abusing. Not only is the video you posted here completely unrelated to your ban and TRauk’s ban from Rusty Island your post is 100% fabricated. I am very confident of anyone from Astro’s Rusty Island stumbles across this post they will be in full agreement that our server is one of the best out there. When I posted on the previous post, it was under the wrong information provided by multiple people. After talking with Astro, things have been made clear, action taken, and misunderstandings cleared up. I have been a proud member of Astro's server for some time, and my post came out of multiple frustrations, rather than clear simple direct thought. Not many servers give as much heart to the player experience like Astro do. Cheaters are banned, and good Rust times are available. The two main admins - Astro and MistJ have gone to great lengths and severe effort to do the best they can in the position they have.

[B] Let me just start out that have nearly 1000 hours on Rust. Good god that's time I can't get back! But when it's on a good server it flies by. Just like when it's on a bad server it drags on. I can honestly say that hackers and admin abuse can happen anywhere and everywhere, but on this server (Astro's Rusty Island) they take a proactive approach to taking care of business. The Admins encourage, and even help players learn how, to video their gameplay. Obvious infractions are dealt with swiftly and the buck stop with Astro himself. He is one of the most even minded admins I've ever come across. Always wanting proof before succumbing to hackusations and fair to the just simply good players. I don't know what has this group so pissed off at a singular being (thats Admin powers have been since revoked) that would make them condemn a server that has done everything else so right from my perspective. I used to play on Astro's Rust server extremely frequently, until I started teaching a friend how to play League of Legends and Planetside 2. The admins are very nice people, and always drop what they're doing to help out a player with issues. I remember I was in the teamspeak3 server they have once, and in the middle of a fight they got a hacker report from a player. Astro immediately ran back to our base (took about 30 seconds) and started dealing with the issue. They also take admin abuse very seriously - I was there during the invisible admin incident, and as soon as Astro heard about it, he dealt with it immediately. The admins are active, the server has an awesome community (we opened a Rust-Mart!) and I'm looking forward to hopping back on the server since my friend from earlier recently got the game. I'd recommend playing there, personally. Hoping to see you there!

Dude spammed and got banned after his buddy glitched and got banned. Ignore the butthurt. Astro's is one of the best, if not THE best server I've been on in my 900 or so hours on rust. Proof of hacking or glitching results in swift banning, as it did in this case, and as it should.

I'm relatively new to Rust and I bounced around on servers quite a bit until I found Astros. I'm a fair gamer and I play here for a reason. Hackers/exploiters don't last long on this server, the Admins work WITH the players of the server to catch hackers as quickly as possible, and the admins ALWAYS replace the items that a player lost as a victim of being hacked (personal experience). The server is good, the admins are good, and they did nothing wrong by banning a couple of now bitter exploiters.

Yo, Ima just say this now, Trauck and his buddy WERE both shooting through walls and thats why they were banned, When they both got banned trauck joined the ts3 to cry about it some more, he even admitted to shooting through walls and tryed to say it was aloud and that an admin told him he could last night, when mind you i was talking to the admins/ chilling out in there ts3 channel, trauck never entered that channel when he "was told he could shoot through walls" And the garbage about being banned after being in a gunfight? nah. Astro didint shoot players at all, hell he didint want me to kill people because i probaly would of killed the server if i did, but in the end, long story short, trauck was exploiting and got banned, joined the ts3 to cry about it, then raged and tryed to make up some story.

I've been playing rust for a while now and recently stumbled across Astro's server, and I gotta say it is my favorite server to date. The admins are active and any hackers that join the server are typically banned within days. Astro is very communicative and it's easy to speak to him or an admin if you need to contact them (they have a server teamspeak). The community is great and there's a lot of cool stuff implemented in the server, such as a trading market run by the admins! All in all, I would highly recommend this server to anyone looking to have a fun experience with rust. -LSP
