So experimental is still not working for me several months later. It is because I have installed Bitdefender I've been told but I have no intention of uninstalling an antivirus I paid for to play a game. What worries me is that there is no sign from the developers that this problem is being addressed... If anybody knows how to reach them please do because I've seen many people with the same problem or if anyone knows a solution please let me know because I would really like to play the game and see how it progresses each week.
Thanks!

That's because the Rust developers aren't responsible for EasyAntiCheat. The EAC guys are. It's a third-party company and its product.
And EAC knubbe has posted repeatedly in these types of threads that they have already contacted BitDefender to try and resolve this issue. There is a solution/workaround that may work, but it's a bit involved and requires reinstalling Rust completely and then forcing BD to properly exclude the EAC bootstrapped from policing.
Try searching the bug reports and help and support subforums.
My GF and I use bitdefender.
this fixed it for me but did nothing for her.

Alright thanks for clearing that up! As well as for the help ;) I'll give this method out a try as well.
