• Xp system poll

I am posting this on Super Tuesday and I wanted to conduct a poll myself. Please explain your answer down below and please no flame wars or political debates!
there is no poll.... nevermind it just loaded in
Just posted it reload it
Garry is doing the xp system right now. This poll is pointless
I was just wondering what the community thought of it.
you're not going to see a demographic of every rust player voting on this poll, because the rust forum is filled either with dipshits who'll tell you all about how the XP system is terrible (with no actual reasons) or with the few who'll be ignored for saying they like it. the rest, whether they can spell or not, won't see the poll because they either don't know there's a rust forum, or don't wish to mingle with the first type of person mentioned i'd say though that people who like gameplay changes would like the XP system, it makes rust feel more complete in my opinion, gives you an incentive to do things instead of making other people do things, or more incentive to specialize in certain abilities
You forgot an option: "I want to reserve judgement until the XP system works and is actually in game."
i think is a bad idea. think, hit 1000 times a stone nodus and the... magically i know how to build a fucking C4 !!! Amazing stuff garry, really... amazing shilly shit

I just want to know what people think about the upcoming Xp system with a freaking flame war

Amazing stuff garry, really... amazing shilly shit
If you looked at another thread like this, you'll find the rebuttal that you may or may not be looking for SuperNoob (https://facepunch.com/member.php?u=728404) posted, Do you realize that the current system's "realism" is as follows: Step 1: Over the next week (of in-game time) collect a few wads of random scraps of paper from trash piles, trash cans and barrels. Step 2: Tape them together. Step 3: Read the first few words of the random scribbles you just put together and realize that you have in your hands a perfect set of instructions on how to build an AK. And you already memorized it. Step 4: Use scraps of metal and shards of wood you found along the way to make a shovel handle and tape it to an AK mechanism that magically appears out of thin air (180 second craft time would barely be enough to assemble the magically appearing AK components so I am assuming you spend that time taping the stock you just made to the body of the AK you just pulled out of your naked ___). I'm not sure how is this any more "Realistic". I personally would rather reserve my judgement of the new XP system until I can play with it. It seems like Garry is trying to address specific concerns he has with the game - the fact that the current grind for blueprints has no other purpose than grinding for blueprints. I personally don't enjoy spending a day or two in game just running around the whole map looking for and hitting barrels for no reason other than preparation for the day I can even think about settling down. I would prefer if barrels had actual useful resources that players would want to compete for throughout the game. Currently, barrels are only relevant for the first few days on the server until you can just sit atop a sniper tower shooting the occasional nakeds and wildlife, waiting for the neighbors to go offline while a quarry in a courtyard below slowly churns out a slow trickle of raw materials. I am looking forward to any changes that could make game-play less stale.
sure... hitting a tree with axes do you get more familiar with explosives... sure that is the way we know how to use explosives, hitting trees and given axes to friends hit trees for you... i really know how to create explosives because i give axes to friends cut down some trees last weekend
This is the way I see the new system works: You wake up naked. Alone on the beach. Nothing but empty desert all around. The bushes behind you rustle. You pick up a rock lying next to you hoping for some defense. You back away holding your rock up. Slowly. You hit your rock against another rock hoping the sound will scare away whatever it is in the bushes. Thunk. You hope it's not a bear. Thunk. Thunk. You hit your thumb. The pain is unbearable (pun intended), but after a few minutes of jumping up and down cursing you go back to your rock. There is nothing more to do for miles around and the sound seems to scare away the wildlife. You hit a rock with another rock to pass the time. The first 3 days of hitting a rock with another rock you almost break your fingers. But you slowly get better at it, you learn to tuck your thumb in right before the two collide. You get better, faster, stronger. Spending all that time hitting a rock with another rock gives you tons of time to think. You enter a meditative state using the monotonous thumping of your rock as a mantra: Ohm-thunk-ohm-thunk-ohm-thunk. You use that time to come up with all kinds of weird ideas. You come up with all kinds of tortures for the ones responsible for sending you here. You create your own religion centered around the almighty unbreakable rock you have spent weeks hitting with your rock. You remember the contents of "War and Peace" you read as a child. You re-enact the final episode of The Bachelor in your head. Twice. You hit your thumb. Just when you though you perfected the technique. You suck on your battered thumb in frustration. This hasn't happened in weeks. You suddenly realize that before you got marooned on this god forsaken island you went to college, got a PHD in Nuclear Physics, and were a highly-trained member of the military. You can try to put some of that training to good use if only you had a little more time to remember what was written in those text books and the things you drill instructors beat into your head. But the pain from your thumb keeps distracting you. You tie a stick around your rock to make a primitive hammer. You hit a rock with your stick-rock. It finally crumbles. You feel a sense of purpose. You need more time to think. You find another rock. You hit that rock with your stick-rock.
Yes with it current state but much less buggy Yes,but change the mechanics No,change the bp system though No,keep the bp system how can we choose one of these when we cannot actually test what we havent got, so we have nothing to compare blueprints with at the present
What do you want me to do
to think about that before you try asking for an opinion on something that isn't yet implemented
