Saved up all my lumber, made my wood parts. I laid my foundation and setup my pillars... I was just setting up doorways when out of no where this guy pops up and plops down like 15 of his own pillars within just a few seconds.
Ruined the entire build. No C4 yet on my server either (at least that I know of) so now I just have to collect more and try again somewhere else.
Yeah home ownership will fix this issue. I have also seen it where people plop down a foundation and build a 1x1 hut over your only way out of your base, so your stuck and have to suicide out with no way back into your base.
This will all be fixed once house ownership is in as you will be able to remove anything on the foundation you put down, weather it is yours or someone else that built on it.
This game just brings out the worst in people ... jesus Its like a never ending stream of dick moves people are pulling.

Even if you had C4, you can't destroy pillars.

yeah, which will suck ass even worse as there will be no other way to monopolize territory.
I didn't even know you couldn't destroy pillars. I wasted 14 grenades on one once because I was desperate to finish a build and I placed a pillar wrong.

Modded servers can add a tool for ownership removal.
So i've decided the other day im only going to build small portions at a time instead of saving up. Reason being is as follows.
I saved up enough wood to put down 8 foundations wall/pillar/ceiiling them all. I craft all the stuff to do it put it all down, and then the server crashes. I log in i have none of the wood and none of the stuff is laid down. it seems when a server crashes/rolls back 10-20 minutes. It saves your character at a different time or as the server goes down, but does not save objects placed in the world. Lost all of it. This happened to me twice.
Your story brings another reason to build small bits at a time, so people can't do that as easily.
Why didn't you kill the guy before he placed the pillars?
Or did you just leave your building site unattended for anyone to grief while you were away? That's a pretty big no-no
I was looking around but the area was off near some rocks and it happened pretty fast. Heard footsteps on wood, looked up.. guy was planting pillars. Got him with a pistol. All he had on him was food and pillars.
