Suggestion for improving how running works in the upcomming patch

The transition from going from full out running to instantly walking feels a little to sticky and jarring imo, how about a players speed is reduced depending on what combo of movement keys a player is pressing at the time.
ie
"run + W" You run at max speed.
"run + A/D + W" running speed gets reduced by 25%
"run + A/D" running speed is reduced by 50%
"run + S" running speed is reduced by 75%.
(percentages not set in stone)
You can run full speed and turn with the mouse. The side to side changes were for combat purposes. It will take some time to get used to but I think these changes are heading in the right direction.

I can totally see where purely running left/right/back needs a good speed reduction just i feel the penalty for making fine straff adjustments while running is rather extreme and jarring.
This isn't a cry post btw its just a suggestion to fine tune it alittle more, like i said these percentages are not set in stone.
yeah i felt the same way kowie when i jumped on the dev server.
but then i tried to do this in real life. i was successful running in a straight line. but when i tried to run full speed by side stepping it didn't really work out.
joking aside i think the side stepping could be a little faster as you mentioned. but i definitely like the new feel as opposed to the old one.

My feeling is IRL you can move your head independently of where you are going where as in game if you nerf strafing while running forward too much you end up with the effect you feel like you are driving a car around/running around with a neck brace on, all tho being able to straff while running forward is unrealistic it imo helps give player a little more freedom.
Still don't like the effect tbh, im fine tho with the way pure straffing left and right n back has been nerfed.
Just add a toggle sprint button already! How hard is that.
