Maybe your melee damage could increase the fatter you got, but movement speed slower? :) Also increased stamina drain when running/climbing/going up ladders.
Hehe, I see people maintaining a good diet to keep their shape ingame, while they stuff bags of chips into their fat faces.

That dumb puzzle inventory thing? Ugh. That's the main reason I don't play DayZ, DiabloIII, or any other rpg with that inventory system. The idea of weight limits is bad enough.

the idea of a bigger bag carries more stuff even if weight makes no difference, the gun in the back not hidden as some naked do to get you from behind as you help them.
naked and carry enough stuff for a all house? really? should only give you like 3 slots, food, a gun/ammo in your back and a tool (could take 3 tool in the same slot due to durability).

Weight limit is bad in a survival type game? :P What fun is survival if you don't have to worry about weight and can carry a couple of trees in your backpack, not to mention an arsenal of guns? Protip: Rifles, and especially ammo really weighs you down.
Adding bags would also be great, as it could add new strategic elements, such as hiding your backback in a bush while you escape, to reduce weight fatigue, or making boobytrapped bags for raiders. All kinds of cool stuff.

afaik it was posted in the context of character customization tho, not in simulating nutrition effects.
Sad thing with this animation is that the face does not change at all.
You would at least get fatter cheeks and maybe a 2nd chin.
Also the fact that the pubic mound (The part above the penis) does not get bigger/fatter is weird also.
The final part of the animation were it is at its biggest looks so unrealistic, its as if his legs are bent and twisted inwards, due to no pubic mound expansion.
This is an amature animation scaling at best.
EDI: I think the problem is that the base skeletal structure is based of a too skinny body, and the hip bone is way too small. You are scaling from a very small skeleton up and up(creating unrealistic looks), were you should have started with a larger base skeletal structure, then scaled it up and down, instead of as mentioned aboved from small > bigger > bigger.
Lee in their defense, if you read the trello, it was part of some experimentation towards custom characters. It was only to provide a quick visual. Not much more than a mask on the model with a push or inflate animation.
(Before claiming Im blindly defending them, I was very critical of the new bear/deer)

Well I'll choose for sure the less big so you have less chance of getting seen and maybe a smaller hitbox who knows

Your point is true, however, this whole venture is pointless then ? If this current visual is an experiment with no intention of being used, or just to be reworked AGAIN in the future (What seems like all things rust related) Its nothing more than more development time wasted.
Experiments are good if they yeild positive results.
This animation clearly shows the people behind it are braindead as the results are some mangled diformed person with almost no life-like features.
Now if the animation was a representation of a characters fitness ingame, depending on how much you eat etc you get fatter / thiner, i could be forgiving, but as for it being a slide bar for a basic character customization, its more like vomit on a plate most of all when you know they are using some top of the range editing and creating software on the market.
Having some unity knowledge myself, this kind of thing is nothing more than a few hours worth of tinkering and messing around to get this Thin > Fat slide toggle (As they already had the base character model). Just like the animal retextures which replaced zombies, nothing more than a 30 second peice of shit job, yet still took them weeks to create / impliment.
Hopes and dreams are smashed befor me on a daily basis with this game.
