I don't like this effect if it stays on until you heal. it should disappear after a few minutes. Why can't I go into the water and wash it off?

EDIT: Lovin this new update! Everything else is amazing.
Yeah I agree that it needs to disappear after a bit. The screen can stay kinda blurry but the red is a bit too much especially when it's dark.
Not a fan of the whole screen going blurry.
The idea is cool, but the implementation is a little OP.
It looks like you're viewing your game from inside goatse.
yes its a nice idea but as a older player my poors poor eyes how they hurt

Agreed, the idea is good, but needs to be nerfed slightly. The above screenshot at 20% hp is what it should look like at 0% hp, not 20. It shouldn't start until you get to about ±25% hp. Just down-scale it a bit...
Oh, and pissing myself laughing at goatse! lol
lol @ the goatse comment. When I first logged in with a friend last night, I got this and immediately said it looked like I was looking at the world through someone's asshole. Looks like I'm not the only one who thought that....
Reverse goatse... This is now the new official name for this. lol
Really annoying when you get into cold water, almost freeze to death, but are covered with blood?
I think the blood is too literal, and definitely distracting. Something like this would work better:

I think the 30 to 49 range could use just a bit more blur or slight vignette. Also, sorry for the small pixel size! I had to buy more bandwidth for my website because of all the bandwidth getting used by posting stuff on here. Time to find another place to host images if I'm going to keep this up.
Two things kind of related:
1) I wish they would increase the sound of the wolf when it is attacking you! They had this at one time.
2) Because of 1) above when a wolf attacked me the only indication I had was the screen turning red. By the time I noticed the screen going red, then stop chopping and pulled out my gun my screen was so red, I couldn't tell where the wolf was and started shoting blindly and still got killed.
I think when you get down to 25 and below, you vision should be hugely obstructed. Sound, too, should be somewhat muffled and damp.
I don't like the red, though. I'd prefer black (like tunnel vision).

i know that the red is a little much. how about a small drop of blood that runs down the screen slowly for a small bleed and faster for a much deeper wound?
"Great, now I have PINK eye."
that made me lol.

when you get attacked by an animal ,start to walk backward. the animal will follow you and will be in the middle of your screen. you just have to hit straight to hit it, since it will follow you in straight line
