Falling to my death ladders - Rust

How the hell do u climb down ladders? I asked my server no one can tell me. Can you? Thanks

look down press against it you can press space to speed down but you have to keep near the ladder.

Thx for the reply. Can u be a little more clear? Am I facing forward or is my back to the ladder looking down? I don't have to hit w or s? Just space bar? Thanks

Sometimes you'll fall anyway, if you're using the ladders of the great (water)towers. Maybe they all need a safety ladder cages. At least on top of the ladder, so you can enter the ladder easily, without the chance of falling down.

Well from the top of my base I have 2 ladders going down the side of my stone wall. I can't clime down. I always fall and take damage. How do I get on the damn ladder?

There are options enough, try to be creative with what you've got.

Why can't someone just please tell me how to get on a ladder and climb down without falling?

look down press shift w. dont do this on the water tower ladder.

I have asked people in 3 different servers and I got the same answer, "I don't know." if people on 3 different servers can't answer then something is wrong you nerdy bitch! some of us have jobs and a life. we are not 14 year old boys, or in ur case an unemployed looser living in ur moms basement, who can sit there all day and try random key combos. Make a door at the top of the ladder. When the door closes, it will push you onto the ladder, every time. Just push yourself into it.

It forces them to blow up the doors and climb the ladders instead of shooting out the ceiling and boosting if they can't get building permission, plus it makes getting around the base faster.
