Do the developers have plans to release rust to console?

Do the developers have plans to release rust to console? If so do they have an estimated date, or would it be possible for them to release alpha to consoles?
Thanks for your time
No.
Console = Toaster
Please. Just stop...
Stop
PC gaming is PC gaming not console.
Console is pure shit....
Just
Stop

Only if we share the same servers it would be OK; good influx of noobs to farm off.
Roughly two years ago Garry mention that a console version was not totally out of the question, but would not even be considered until the PC version was finished. The PC version still has ways to go before it's "done", so a console release is a LONG way off.

Thanks for answering my question  and for everyone else I was asking more because I have friends who play console that I feel sorry for because games like this are unheard of

That's because consoles can't handle games like rust, dayz, etc. The current gen consoles were built with already outdated hardware when they were released, so they're pure shit right now.
At least the PS3 and Xbox 360 were built with high end hardware in them when they released, and their price at release reflected that. The current gen consoles are a joke running on hardware that was already outdated when they were made, and they're majorly holding back gaming as a whole as 90% of developers develop for consoles and then port to pc. Not to mention that most of them still develop for PS3 and Xbox 360 -___-

Lol you will wait a very very very long time till the game will be done , still alpha and rebooted alpha since years ago ... probably a console version will be release in 2025...
Shooters on console are just awfull..
inventory management on console? impossible
building a house while under fire on console? not in a million years
Can the game even run at 30FPS on consoles? nop.. so wait for next gen console, PS5 or XBox11

It's not the problem of house under fire or inventory and fps, it's just Garry and when Garry
do something he want something beautiful and good,
You are better to wait the final release of the PC version b4 the console release,
or maybe it's doing nothing to talk about this because probably Garry will work more
on his new project of his tennis game or arcade stuff before :D
Console sucks
Too much little kids either way :P

If the sheer amount of "I got banned but didn't cheat, honest!" threads are any indication, PC isn't much better with regards to "little kids".
Game barely runs as it is, let alone on a toaster
