Why did you try to hide that your twitter handle is @MarkyHawthorn? Twitter isn't secret you know.
Everyone else does, so I thought I would join the bandwagon, But I'm happy you took the effort to reply :)
It is easy to read, I knew your name before reading Lexic's post, shouldn't of just copied and pasted the name all over the place.
he said 2-3 weeks on friday..
Well I think this post proves people spend more time on, and are more interested in berating people on the Forums, than actually playing the game.
well i think this proves you ask garry for an update even tho he said 2-3 weeks till the update on friday. read his devblog, he seems pretty honest about updates.
Who cares if we play rust or not? You're the one who's complaining about a lack of updates.
welcome to the internet.
Right back at ya, buddy.
more interested in berating people

welcome to the internet.
You too.
So! when does the full blown version look like its going to happen?? This small map is getting extremely boring.
probably never? next patch might as well introduce random maps for all we know
Everyone else does, so I thought I would join the bandwagon, But I'm happy you took the effort to reply :)
Why does everyone think that replying takes some special form of effort and indicates an extreme dosage of caring at all? It takes two seconds to do unless you're completely dense.
I think garry's getting a lesson in what not to do in the future. The problem is he wants to do things on his own time. His company will go tits up if that's what he thinks. Future game releases will certainly be hurt based on the experience players have in this game.
I uh... don't think he's looking to make a big time AAA gaming company which pumps out a half-assed shitty game every six months.
omg take a selfie with this tweet bro
I think garry's getting a lesson in what not to do in the future.
Not to give early access? I hope so, because he must be having a miserable time dealing with all this nonsense. I wouldn't blame him for clamming the whole thing up and saying "you'll get an update in five or six months when we're good an ready to give it to you."
The problem is he wants to do things on his own time.
Yes, this is one of the defining elements of an indie team. In other breaking news, water is wet and a bowling ball is heavier than a gnat. Edit: Want some slow development? Dwarf Fortress is getting its first major update in over two years. People still play it. Rust's dev schedule is nothing compared to that.

"We have reached end game and the server is dying" LMFAO the audacity of people on these forums blows me away. OP get your head out of your ass.
how bout you all get your heads out of garrys ass?
I think garry's getting a lesson in what not to do in the future. The problem is he wants to do things on his own time. His company will go tits up if that's what he thinks. How about learning about a topic before trying to discuss it?

Because the incoming update will all of a sudden have a new significant, revolutionary end game? It will probably contain a few new items and some bug fixes at best.
how bout you all get your heads out of garrys ass?
Why is it that when someone disagrees with the disgruntled Rust community, people assume they're just kissing up to Garry? Am I not allowed to have my own opinion?
You're obviously new to how facepunch studios does things. How about learning about a topic before trying to discuss it?
Learn what? Facepunch is a business. This is how capitalism works. If Garry pisses off too many people, which he will do if he doesn't get things moving faster, then people will simply not buy from him in the future. Or at least they will think twice before giving him money before he actually has anything lol. [editline]21st April 2014[/editline]
Not to give early access? The game isn't ready B. When it's code doesn't even work properly to be released and C. When he doesn't have a proper team to develop the game to start with. LOL if he says "when were good and ready" then ill laugh my ass off when people stop playing and the game tanks as a result. But hey..let him wait that long if he wants. By then no one will be playing it anyways.
Yes, this is one of the defining elements of an indie team. People still play it. Rust's dev schedule is nothing compared to that.
Yes and this is also one of the defining elements of a failed company. If every company did this, then they shouldn't expect to be in business for long. People aren't that stupid. Well at least many of us aren't that stupid as to let a development team take our money and then let them spend their sweet time releasing content. Water is wet? Wow thanks for sharing. It sounds like you simply hate reading critics. Im sorry if you can't handle it. I dont care how much slower Dwarf Fortress is. How much money did it make? millions? LOL. If not then i imagine it has good reason to slowly update. But no excuses exist other than laziness and greed when you have the means to get the game out faster, but you don't do it anyways. It does sound like FP is hiring people though. It's just a matter of letting people know this. Which he should be obligated to since we are basically his investors.
Why is it that when someone disagrees with the disgruntled Rust community, people assume they're just kissing up to Garry? Am I not allowed to have my own opinion?
Because any dev process that can't pump out a new, revolutionary update in 24-hours is obviously failing. Why can't you Garry-lovers just recognize that making games is really, really easy and that anybody can do it and that Garry is just really bad at this? But no, seriously, shut the fuck up, OP. We've seen a million of these threads and they're all retarded. I'd rather have a good end product than a few dinky updates now, and that seems to be what they're doing. Let them work -- Rust is fucking awesome right now, and I feel safe in assuming it's only going to get better. Don't rush this shit or we might risk another Phil Fish. That's the last thing anybody wants.
Well I think this post proves people spend more time on, and are more interested in berating people on the Forums, than actually playing the game.
So you shitpost, see that people have criticized something you did, and wine that people are complaining about your shitposting? Lol
Think about what Garry meant about New Rust, they have a plan let them do what they do best and develop the game. Competition can only help the consumer aka us, so imagine if you were Garry would you not want to blow people away with a bigger update taking time to fine tune multiple aspects.
He honestly could care less whether or not we play the game. We bought it in PRE-ALPHA. It needs lots of work and he knows it and I'm sure he will be the one laughing when everyone's playing it when it's done. He'll probably be sleeping in a bed of cash.

So yes, fine-tuning is necessary. What you think of as "fine-tuning" isn't just slowly turning knobs - they're refining code and making it better.
