• Rust overloading GPU?

Specs: Core 2 Duo 2.8 OC 3.2GHz 4gbram DDr3 HD4670 512MB Gddr3 I know my computer is old but it should do the work... On fastest, Render quality at about 30%, grass off i get about 10-25 fps.... What could be the problem? I mean it's not a high-end computer but at these settings it should run at a smooth 30+ ALSO: i windowed the game, and i looked into catalyst and the Gpu activity was at 99%, CPU at 40%, 1.4GB ram used I don't think a game as rust on lowest can put that big of a fight with a HD4670... i mean unity3d runs on phones... and the gpus on phones are almost unexistent I don't have any hardware problems, just played Crysis 2 Med-high 30+ fps **I know it's alpha, don't bash about it, i just want to know what is the problem and if i can fix it. :suicide:
No, you are lacking in the CPU department, and your card is really weak. This sounds about right for your specs, I recommend upgrading your card to something from at least the 6000 series.
yes.. but for lowest settings? i have a friend who plays on a 2x weaker pc than mine and he plays 30+ fps on lowest...I am a Pc "tekkie" but i don't get it this time :v: * and i benchmarked the game and the CPU never goes over 50%, and the GPU stays at 99% all the time, even when i'm in menu and when the game is loading...

Anyways, have you tried raising the graphics level? some people have claimed that helped them.

I'm at work now and i can't retest it... The only thing buzzes me off is why 99% GPU on loading screen and menu? In Crysis 2 at Med-High mid-game the Gpu was at about 75-80%... *** Sorry i was wrong, his video card is an GeForce 8600 GT; just asked him :)

No... i buyed the game 1h after the ddos started... if the ddos attacks have stoped i could just go home and make a quick run (i work at 10min from my home)

Until then, I recommend playing something different or occupying your time some other way (e.g. jacking off for hours on end) Hope I helped at least somewhat :v:
