In the ingame server browser list, there are many servers with various descriptions such as: - No Wipe - StarterKit - PVP - Economy - Auction house - Remover - Survival - Mass Airdrop - Airdrop 10+ - NO Decay - NO Durability - Arena Does someone know what it means for me as a player ? KTHX.
- No Wipe - the server never gets reset (wiped) between updates - StarterKit - you get a kit of items (usually sleeping bag, food, so materials) when you first spawn - PVP - Player vs player (no safety) - Economy - You earn in game money and can buy items - Auction house - you can sell items to other players - Remover - a tool you can use to remove house parts and items you have misplaced - Mass Airdrop - lots of airdrops - Airdrop 10+ - airdrops are only active when 10 or more players are online - NO Decay - you house doesnt decay and disappear if you are not active - NO Durability - weapons and tools dont break - Arena - Think Call of duty. Just a shootout area
no wipe = map doesnt wipe until necesary starterkit = the command /starter work in game and gives basic items pvp = pvp enabled economy = economy mod auction house = basically an economy mod remover = mod that allows players to remove building peices survival = survival... mass airdrop = lots of airdrops airdrops 10+ = airdrops wont happen until at least 10 ppl join the server no decay = building dont decay no durability = durability is disabled arena = admin build area for battling others
- No wipe means the server never gets restarted (or does very rarely, at least). - StarterKit means you can type something in like /starter hatchet and you get some beginner items (I don't remember what the actual command is because I'm a man ) - PvP means the server focuses heavily on players killing other players; it is probably modded in such a way that there is an announcement every time someone kills someone else - Economy means you get in-game money for kills and stuff, so you can buy items from a menu - Auction house means there's an auction house (though I've never seen one) - Remover means there's something that allows you to easily remove buildings/structures you've placed - I'm not sure what "Survival" is, but I think it has something to do with things generally being more scarce - Mass Airdrop means just that; there are a lot of aidrops, wherein a plane flies overhead and drops down a bunch of good items - Airdrop 10+ means there are scheduled airdrops as long as there are at least 10 players on the server - No Decay means structures you place down stay there forever and don't decay/disappear over time - No Durability means items that you use don't break; you can use the same hatchet forever as long as you don't lose it - Arena means the server is focused on... well... arena-like PvP, where everyone's given an awesome gun and players battle it out in a field or something
- No Wipe The server wont be refreshed or "wiped" - meaning all the buildings and items will remain - usually servers are wiped every now and then to attract new players (as advantage of a single group can grow pretty big over time once they have control over the main loot drops) - StarterKit some servers added the command / starterkit (or w.e.) which gives you a basic set of items - sometimes its survivalish sometimes its weapons for PVP - PVP Player vs Player - you are allowed to kill others (often combined with starterkit -> you will get weapons so its sort of a shooter server) - Economy ??? - Auction house You can sell and buy items via ingame money or trade with other items - Remover A tool (usually a weapon) to remove buildings parts you've just recently placed its a workaround for the missing feature of house ownership - Survival ??? - Mass Airdrop Meaning airdrops (a supply crate that gets dropped by an airplane, usually with very worthy materials such as c4 and metal parts etc) are spawned very frequently - normally they'll probably come once every few hours when 15+ people are on the server - Airdrop 10+ Airdrop once 10 people are online - NO Decay Building strucutres do not decay on these servers meaning you can stay afk for a long time and still return to your base (given that the server has not been wiped) - NO Durability Items don't lose durability - they will not break nor need repair - Arena usually similar to PVP servers with starter kits - the admins built an arena where you will get equipped with weapons to fight each other - the arena is built so that the place isn't too big and people can't just hide everywhere (similar to FPS maps) hope it helps =)
