Just looking for a confirmation that you cannot place barricades ontop of pillars anymore to build a makeshift stairset
i think the fix said, can't place barricades on top of spiked walls or on other barricades anymore.. Objects on objects.. I'm not sure it said anything about pillars. "could be wrong?"
You can place barricades, spike walls and boxes on top of pillars, but:

You can still place barricades on top of pillars, and a single pillar/barricade ladder is still possible. I just built one earlier today.
Judging by the fact that they removed the ability from spiked walls and not barricades leaves me to believe that they intend to keep this as a feature. But I'm just speculating on that.
Edit: The last sentence was based on my misreading of the patch notes, and makes no sense.

You mean they really want that barricades work as a stair together with pillars? Nah, I don't think so.
I actually hope they fix it on the next patch, so people can't go as high as they want only with pillars and barricades, because that is really silly.

I mistakenly read the patch as saying spiked walls can't go on top of pillars. So the logic I was using to support my point was incorrect.
I also don't like the pillar ladder mechanic, but I do fear that removing it will make it too simple to build cheap bases that take masses of C4. We shall see.
Can pillars be destroyed with C4 now with the walls change?

Not yet, I'm sure we all eagerly await that change.
Putting barricades ontop of pillars and making ladders is no doubt the stupidest thing i've ever see, they better take it out
