I like the idea of having an outside and inside stat for walls. Could we make the inside even weaker than it is now, so it's easier to knock out an existing wall you don't want, but also still requires some effort to put off all but the most persistent griefer??

At the moment if people are smart, they can already take out walls without double the C4 cost. It only protects the outside part of a wall.
Lets use armored walls as a example:
* Place a C4 in the corner. The blast will a) damage the outside wall for 1/6. b) the blast still travels 3 tiles deep. So it will damage also the corner piece next to it from the inside!
...------
C4|>^
Not easy to draw this.
So maybe it will take you 4 C4 to breach the side part, by using the blast range / inside. This bypasses the 6 that people complain about now.
* Roof breaching: You can place a bunch of C4 on the roof. Yes, the top part is 6 C4 but the walls and supports under it are taking inside blast range. So instead of breaching the actual walls, your breaching the walls / supports below it.
* Roof / foundation breaching: Same applies here for a 1 story high building. Foundations blasting on the side is more difficult but top breaching or top blast range will take out a foundation with 4 C4.
* Barricades are still 1 / 2 C4. Anti Ladder protection is still 1,2,3 C4 because your blasting from below.
People complain but there are a bunch of different tactics to reduce the C4 cost by using the blast wave / range to destroy alternative pieces. So it takes a bit more planning / being smart about it, then just digging/blasting like a mole right now in a straight line.
There is no reason to weaken the inside even more because with the tricks above, you may actually make walls even more easy to destroy then currently. There is already very few things a base builder can do to reduce / prevent C4/rocket blast damage, weaker inside walls and you need to fall back on the exact same block/cube design that has become the standard.
Frankly, at times i do not see the reason for the triangle pieces in the game. The cost the same, they are smaller = blast range does more damage to the next pieces because of the distance, you need more resources, you can not place stairs/blocks/etc on them... Now with the potential side blasting, i fear that triangles are even a bigger risk.

If u read clear, inside stats are the same ... only damage in outside wall face is reduced... and this is great !!!!! ( u need more pick axe and maybe more c4 )
Ty Garry ... finally !!
10x stronger against pick axe is the outside face of wall
And Half the damage too wall whit c4 . from Rustafied
