It is no longer fun or worthwhile to play on the weekends knowing that all your hard work will be gone first thing Monday morning. I have seen a decreased player volume on the weekends also. I recommend wiping on Thursday AM instead so that you still have time to work out the bugs before the weekend. Also allowing time to play on the weekend and enjoy our game during the week prior to the wipe.
Why not trigger a boatload of airdrops on the monday to get numbers back up? :)
I agree with this. Release on Thursday would allow a day for any fixes needed. Weekend Rust play has disappeared with new release day.
Then we get posts saying "I hate losing my stuff on Tuesdays because of reasons, please change it." This shit is never gonna stop. :suicide:

Even if we are testing we also want to get fun, thats why the game is not $ 1 USD on Early Acces but $ 20 USD.
I agree that on Weekends there is low people playing, because there is no point on wasting time when there will be a wipe on Monday, instead doing wipes on Fridays made people to play more on weekends and to decrease this intensity on Thrusday.

This is completely opposite of the LAST thread debating this topic. This is why the friday patch was the best option and why I disagreed with this rescheduling in the first place. The weekend warriors just want to have their cake and eat it too, but that just can't happen in an ALPHA GAME.

You know, there is actually a thread on here asking for a way to get a text message if someone tries to enter your base.
Why are people so addicted to their wood and stones? Seriously? I think we should wipe 3 times a week. After a wipe, just think of the gameplay you get rebuilding, farming, and collecting blueprints.
You are going to loose your stuff anyway... If you only play in the weekends, your stuff will be gone the next either way. Just keep it as it is and let the devs focus on dev-stuff instead of having to read threads like this.
When will be the next Wipe?
I don't mind wipes at all, I just feel that rust has lost abit of its weekend appeal being the end of the weekly update cycle instead of the start.

Any way you slice it, I play on a server that used to get about 150 ppl at the weekends. This weekend I logged on, and there were 17 ppl online. Monday wipes have killed week-end play.

I'm also a big fan of Wednesday or Thursday updates! 1-2 Days to fix the most damaging bugs and then the people have more reasons to play on weekends.
