Just wanted to say that I spent some time with FPSplayers today trying to resolve some lag with our server. I put in a ticket and they told me to come talk with them on teamspeak which was REALLY cool. Not sitting around for hours waiting for a reply like I did with HFB just ticket created "server is lagging" minutes later they say come on TS and will resolve the issue.
They spent a few hours working out everything it could be and never gave up on me. They resolved the lag and now the server is running great. Better customer support then I have ever gotten from any other GSP FPSplayers is number one in my book.
Dayum. I have never heard of a company that actually went into VOIP personally with their customers to resolve issues. I'll be sure to tell my friend about it.
How did you resolve the lag issues if you don't mind me asking?
They ended up switching us to a different location and machine after they tried doing a fresh install with our backed up server data.
I mean granted it was nothing special and its something any GSP should do for their customer and most likely would the only difference was and what made it so special is I didnt sit around watching my ticket for 3 hours to get a automated reply on the ticket they ASKED me to come into their TS to help me resolve the issue faster and im talking like a reply to my ticket with in minutes. With HFB I was waiting for like sometimes the next day to hear back from them.
Not to mention that FPSplayers has Ddos protection servers as just part of their normal plan. With HFB it was DDos wait around for 12 hours to hear back from them in my ticket that my IP got blackholed cause some 12 year old kid I banned from my server somehow managed a 10GB attack.
Wow, that's really cool. HFB is horrible, no refunds either. Multiplay brands your server.. Def will consider FPSplayers when I buy a server a bit further down the line in developement.

I thought they did not offer DDOS support? The server I play on through them was down 14 hours to a DDOS attack.

If I am right they got ddos protection a week or so ago dont quote me on that though thats just what I heard.
The last host that supposedly had ddos protection said the attack was over the amount of protection they offer, so basically didn't help anyway.

I appreciate the feedback - we haven't got blanket coverage yet, we're still defining our product for DDoS protection, chicken- is right if they DDoS over the protected coverage you're going to have issues.
