I have a tough time building structures because of foundations being limited to one height level. Building on uneven surfaces is almost impossible. Also "connecting" two different buildings isnt possible. No bridges that snap together, maybe a makeshift one. Heres a screen shot that emphasises my struggle. Maybe we can make it so we set foundation height manually?

Foundations used to be much more height tolerant, they toned it down so foundations were not 5-6ft taller than the ground. It's something I'm sure they could easily loosen up on if they choose.
