An Idea to Expand and Improve the Repair Element of the Game:

I was going to post this in another thread about the repair system someone else started, but I felt it would have taken his thread off in another direction and detract from his ideas presented.
I feel that while I understand the quality threshold for weapons gets less and less as you continually repair them, I think you should have some sort of "MINOR" leveling system with your repair skills. What I mean is that the more you repair your weapons and equipment, the better you become at repairing those weapons and equipment.
As an example, I use my P250 a lot and it gets below 25% quality and needs to be repaired soon. I repair it and it goes up to 86% max quality or something. Then it degrades again and I repair it again and it goes down to 65% or whatever..... and so on. I think that after a period of time and experience with a specific item being repaired, you should eventually reach a point where your skills allow you to always bring that weapon back up to 100%. So lets say that after the equivalent of three P250's have reached Zero and repaired several times, you can then have the skill to maintain your P250's at 65% without going further down..... in the same amount of repairing three P250's, your skill goes up to a maintained max of 85% each time..... eventually being able to reach 100% again
^ This above system would then take a player a long time to be able to reach this level of efficiency & skill and wouldn't be something that would make repairing pointless if one could level up their repair skills too fast.... but at the same time, not make repairing as annoying as it currently is where eventually your weapon will never be able to be repaired.
Keep in mind that there are firearms out there in the world that are close to or even older than 100 years that still function just as well as they did when they were first made, which is dependent on the person maintaining and caring for that weapon, as well as their knowledge and skill with that weapon.
Just to push my view a wee bit further than what I suspect others are comfortable with:
Maybe if you level your repair skills high enough and for long enough, you can even get your specific weapon to go beyond 100% quality (with a maximum cap of 150%) which in turn, improves the range, damage, rate of fire, etc...... but as soon as it goes down to 100% or less, the weapon reverts back to standard values.
But for the record, this repair skill should only be relative to the weapon you continually work on. You shouldn't be able to max your repair skills with a 9mm pistol and then be able to max out an M4 from what you leveled with the P250. The more you are familiar with a specific weapon or armour, etc..... the better you become with maintaining and improving it.
Thoughts?
Pls no skill and levelsystem
I kind of like that everything eventually breaks, it gives more reason to keep looking for another gun or hunting resources down.
It seems pretty obvious that the intention is to bring in higher level workbenches, why not higher level repair benches too? That would be kind of similar in that as you progress you're able to repair equipment with greater ability but without the need for some kind of skill level that you need to work on and level up. Probably even on the higher level benches still not be able to fully repair but maybe reach a higher percentage?
