So my friend and I were playing, when I got a Uber Hatchet. He was in his house, so I started hitting his wooden door with the hatchet, thinking it wouldn't do anything. It ended up breaking the door down, and now he cannot place another there. His house is basically useless. Any ideas on a fix? The hatchet cant break anything else down, so that wont work. The entity still seems to be there, but not the door. Quite strange.
give it like 5 minutes or so and u will be able to place a door there again.

The flying door glitch is more annoying, just extend the house one spot if you really want a fix or rejoin and try again, but extending the house would be pretty simple
No. You just have to wait about 5 minutes for the bottom part of the door to disappear before you place your own, just like Cheapshot said. When you destroy a door it leaves a little piece on the floor that you need to wait for.
The flying door thing is something else... I don't know what that is.
