As soon as I launch Rust my game reads 'Running Self Check.....' and crashes after like maybe a second. This has been happening for the last 2 months and I have made a bug report on it but it was never read or solved. So if you have any input/comments or even a fix for this would be great, thanks!

I have restarted steam, my PC, reinstalled Rust, and verified game cache. Thought yet after weeks and weeks of the same thing it's still broke no update has fixed it or changed the error...

try using CCleaner to clean the registry, its worth a try to cover all angles also try using Malwarebyte and see if theres any crap stopping you from playing.
