For shits and giggles, I opted into the dev branch on Steam and immediately started to download a 500MB patch. Until now, these patches have only ever been about 100-150MB. Now if only we had a dev server to try it out on...

The dev branch [I]could[/I] be the "new" Rust branch, the one with Facepunch Studios' own homebrewed netcode instead of uLink.
i can, in fact, get into servers with the dev branch, but i cannot move or chat. Anyone else see this?

Yeah, I was seeing the same thing. I'm not sure, but I think the server has to be running on the dev patch for it to work.
Is there a change log for the unstable developer versions anywhere?
