Hello, since I've started playing my game has been experiencing FPS freezes. The game runs smoothly on every graphics setting but about every 20-30 seconds my FPS drops to 0 for about 1 - 2 seconds. This is really making me frustrated and I have no idea how to fix it, any help would be appreciated thank you.
Please post your system specs.
CPU, RAM, video card.
Do you only have the one GT750m or do you have two in SLI configuration?
Uh, how do you tell? (sorry)
Look in Device Manager in the Control Panel. If you don't have more than one Nvidia video card entry, it's not in SLI configuration. (It's SLI-capable, but it can't use SLI without a second card.)
This does matter, because Rust has had issues in the past with SLI setups.
It has two
I've never messed with SLI myself, so I don't know the exact things you'll be looking for, but try running Rust without SLI.
I believe you can do this if you download Nvidia Inspector (a useful third-party tool) and set up a profile for Rust. One of Inspector's profile options is SLI (on/off etc.).
Okay, thank you!

Your issue sounds a lot like the issue I was having. Go into device manager under sound. If you see Realtek there. Right click and disable. Try running your game more than likely this has fixed it. Now you just need to find a work around so you still have sound. I use Astro headset which still allows me to have sound.
Okay so, I've tried both things and neither have changed it =\, any other ideas?..
What version are your installed Nvidia drivers?
Hey, I tried disabling the Realtek thing again and this time it worked but no audio and can't get my headphones to work =\ Guess I'll have to live with it
Realtek is your sound device. If you're plugged into the only sound card on your computer... that's why. You disabled it.
If your headset is USB and isn't working for some other reason, ignore #2 below.
Your solutions are:
1) Live with playing Rust without sound (bleah)
2) Buy a USB headset
3) Wait until the devs fix this bug
Lol, ok
#1 is out, sound is too important
#2 Possibly
#3 Most likely
Thanks for all the help =)
