• Will community servers automatically have EAC enabled?

So I understand that EAC is pretty effective against cheaters (so effective, that I won't buy Mirillis Action for recording cause it won't work but that's a different story http://steamcommunity.com/app/228180/discussions/0/34095131779179162/). From what I understand you have to purchase a EAC license packs for 50 or 100 servers. I assume this is what Facepunch Studios is doing to provide official servers protected by EAC? What about the unofficial servers? They will be still unprotected or at least only protected by VAC? Is EAC already included as plugin in the server code? I never played the legacy version but I heard it's a nightmare when it comes to the cheating situation. I assume for community servers nothing will change in the future unless server admins buy a license pack themselves?

I don't want to buy a 50 server license for a single server... Can't we just host servers without having to pay extra money like it's supposed to be?
I can confirm that on community servers that players are being registerred with EAC and being kicked if they fail too. Protip, OSX players don't have EAC registration. I assume facepunch worked out a blanket licensing deal for use only in rust, or that EAC is willing to bill facepunch in bulk for average daily server or player count.
You will not have to pay for an EAC license.
Facepunch are paying EAC for their protection for the game itself. although i can't guarantee that we will never pay anything, i really doubt it.
From what I understand you have to purchase a EAC license packs for 50 or 100 servers.
Such licensing model is only offered for Counter-Strike games. In the case of Rust there is no license fee for the end-user.
