I cannot hear bears coming. At all. Does anyone else have this issue?
I can bearly hear them most of the time.
Ever been to alaska? There are lot of cases of ppl dying outside their homes after a shopping at a local market unlike deers and pigs bears are quiet and will end your life with a loud noice after they step on you or rip your head out of your spine same with wolfs they are huge and silent and will end your life quickly
I've encountered bears in Alaska, they don't have intense parkour and ninja skills.
What do you mean by "noxious"?
poisonous, bitter, cruel. y'know, more rusty;)

The sound bears make is just deeper than most of the other audio, if you turn up your bass or get better headphones it should be a lot easier for you. That said, there seems to be a number of circumstances that they indeed don't makes sound, one of them being steep hills. Of course all encounters with bears, or even wolves, on steep hills and rocks tends to end poorly if you're not fully geared regardless of whether or not you saw them before they saw you. Fuckers teleport up and down and all over the place. Plus wolves can bite you from 4 meters away. But I digress, turn up the volume and boost your low end. It sounds like a bunch of low thumping.

How about making them a tiny bit slower so there is a chance of escape? Or maybe make them a little less deadly (not much, just so that its not 2 hits and dead) Something, anything? I keep dying to them so I can't even get to the point of fighting players since I cannot keep materials, and honestly at this point I would take anything to make them more survivable. Yes I get that bears IRL are deadly, but this is a game, and games are meant to be fun, which sometimes requires a departure from realism. These bears are becoming mind-numbingly frustrating to a new player.
